At E3 this year, Microsoft made a big announcement regarding cross-play. It confirmed that Minecraft would add cross-play between almost all versions of the game, meaning Xbox One players will play with people on competing platforms such as Nintendo Switch. Sony hasn’t allowed cross-play with Xbox One (or any other console platform as of yet), but it was an exciting and encouraging announcement all the same. Now, another game has been confirmed to offer cross-play between Xbox One and Switch.

Developer Black Riddles has announced that its cel-shaded third-person shooter Crazy Justice will offer cross-play between Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Xbox boss Phil Spencer amplified the announcement by retweeting the post to his 486,000 followers.

Crazy Justice is currently seeking funds on the crowdfunding website Fig, which offers traditional, rewards-based backing and actual investment opportunities. Right now, funding stands at $26,665 of its $30,000 target. The campaign ends on October 20.

Crazy Justice is due out in 2018 for Xbox One, Switch, and PC, as well as PS4. However, it sounds like there won’t be cross-play support on PS4. You can learn more about Crazy Justice through the videos above and below, and on Fig here.

In March 2016, Microsoft extended an invitation to other online networks to connect to Xbox Live to allow cross-play between Xbox and competing consoles. While Nintendo is on board, Sony has held out. The company says it won’t connect PlayStation Network to outside networks, in part because it fears for the safety of its users.

Just last week, Spencer said conversations with Sony are ongoing. However, he said he’s unsure if Sony will ever allow PlayStation Network to connect to Xbox Live.

“I’m never going to call anything a lost cause but I think some of the fundamental reasons and certain scenarios, they’re not really going away. So I don’t know what would change,” Spencer said.

Gran Turismo Sport — October 17

Gran Turismo’s first entry on PS4 embraces the latest console generation. That means a focus on esports tournaments and live events, and a whole new point of view via PlayStation VR. If you like Porsches, it’s also your first chance to drive those in a Gran Turismo game.

WWE 2K18 — October 17

WWE 2K18 brings some new moves to the ring this year, including 8-person Royal Rumbles and carry moves. But perhaps the craziest addition is the KFC mascot, Colonel Sanders himself, as a playable character. Look for the Nintendo Switch version later this fall.

Age of Empires: Definitive Edition — October 19

It’s been 20 years since Age of Empires first conquered the PC space, and the remaster brings 4K support, new narration, and rebuilt sound effects–all of which can also be toggled off to play in Classic Mode too. The Definitive Edition includes both the original game and its Rise of Rome expansion.

Fire Emblem Warriors – October 20

Fire Emblem’s first venture onto Switch comes from the team behind Dynasty Warriors. But instead of fighting with historical Chinese figures, you’ll take control of heroes from a range of Fire Emblem games, including Awakening and Fates.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus takes place in a Nazi-occupied America. B.J. Blazkowicz wants to rid America of Nazis, and one way he’ll do that is by punching them directly in the face. A new ad for the game posted on Twitter today makes it clear that Nazis have no place in the land of hot dogs, baseball, and apple pie.

“There is only one side,” reads the video’s description. It then shows B.J. smacking a Nazi officer in the face. Text in the video says, “If you are a Nazi …. GTFO.” Indeed.

GameSpot spoke with The New Colossus director Jens Matthies recently, and he told us how the game’s story is “strangely topical,” in an unfortunate way.

“That was definitely not something we anticipated,” Matthies said about Wolfenstein II’s Nazis-in-America story and the current American political climate. “We started writing the script in 2014 right after we released the first one. Somehow things have gotten strangely topical. Which of course is not something we anticipated or feel especially good about. That’s the way it is, I guess.”
