Marvel told IGN that the artist for the series will be announced in the coming weeks.
Domino is a mutant mercenary with powers that manipulate probability, essentially allowing her to give herself “good luck” and her enemies “bad luck.” She has long been associated with Cable and the militant X-Force. She’s currently featured in the Weapon X ongoing series alongside the likes of Wolverine, Lady Deathstrike and Sabretooth.
A new pair of Joy-Con controllers for Nintendo Switch will soon be available. On Twitter, Nintendo announced it is finally bringing the Splatoon 2-themed neon pink and green Joy-Cons to North America this month.
While the Splatoon 2 controllers have been available in Japan since the online shooter launched last summer, the only way Switch owners could purchase them in the US was as part of the Splatoon 2 Switch bundle. This marks the first time the Joy-Cons will be available as a standalone release. You can take a look at their packaging below.
Nintendo hasn’t announced an exact release date for the Splatoon 2 Joy-Cons, but they’ll be available in stores “later this month.” Likewise, the company hasn’t confirmed how much the controllers will cost, but they’ll presumably carry the same price tag as other Joy-Con sets, which retail for $80. A Splatoon 2 Switch Pro Controller was also available for a limited time, though that has since been discontinued.
Nintendo has released several different Joy-Con colors for Switch since the console launched. Along with the standard grey and neon red and blue Joy-Cons, a neon yellow controller was released alongside the colorful fighting game Arms last June. Nintendo also released a pair of red Joy-Cons with Super Mario Odyssey back in October, though as was the case with the Splatoon 2 Joy-Cons, they have thus far only been available in the US as part of the Mario Odyssey Switch bundle. With any luck, they’ll also get a standalone release sometime soon.
Even though it’s been six years since Skyrim’s first release, the frozen mountains and forested valleys of Tamriel’s northern realm are still unveiling new secrets and mysteries to this day, some of which even the most learned scribes can’t solve. The IGN team has logged anywhere from zero to 200+ hours of exploration time – here are seven of our favorite unanswered questions in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
If you’ve got the Hearthfire DLC – included in the Switch and Special Editions – there’s a special set of flatware you can find and equip to use as weapons. You can pick these up no problem by buying a house in Riften. Add a porch to your new home and you can grab them off the table on the back deck. Open your inventory and you’ll be able to equip them – they both count as one-handed weapons, but they only do a measly 1pt of damage each, so we wouldn’t recommend using them in any important fights.
Whenever there’s a Sony press conference, there’s always a single thought running through our collective minds:
“What shirt is Shawn Layden going to be wearing?”
From Crash, to Wipeout, to Medieval, Shawn Layden has developed a reputation for bringing dormant Sony franchises back to life through the magic of his shirt. With that said, here are the 8 PlayStation Games that we’d like to see appear on Shawn Layden’s shirt. Or more specifically, the 8 PlayStation games that we want remade or remastered.
FX’s acclaimed anthology series Fargo is expected to return for a fourth season in 2019.
“It’s not gone,” said FX CEO John Landgraf (via Entertainment Weekly) during the 2018 Television Critics Association press tour, adding Fargo creator Noah Hawley “has an idea that excited me enormously for a fourth cycle of Fargo.” Landgraf noted there’s no official timeline for a new season, but “the plan is to have that ready in 2019.”
Hawley also commented on a potential fourth season, saying:
Unfortunately, I can’t really tell you anything about that. It’s still early for me. I really love that world. But it’s still very much a question for me of making sure there’s something left to say about it, and balancing tone. I never want it to be something that people go, ‘Oh that thing, it’s the accents and the funny crime show.’ Yeah, it’s still very much a work in progress.
Sequels get a bad wrap in the entertainment industry, particularly horror sequels, which are often rushed into production to capitalize on the unexpected success of an original, and then cranked out on a semi-regular basis to keep the studio’s coffers flowing… quality be darned.
But the simple fact of the matter is that there’s no particularly good reason why a sequel HAS to be bad, and as the 21st century rolls ever onward, we are seeing more and more examples of talented filmmakers making the most out of every franchise opportunity. Many horror sequels nowadays are better than the films that inspired them, or at least comparable in quality (or at LEAST pretty darned interesting), and they deserve credit for giving what used to be a dirty word a good name.
