14 New Mandalorian Funko Pops Are Arriving In 2020–Check Them Out

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Funko Pops

Season 1 of The Mandalorian ended last week on Disney Plus, but don’t worry, Mando and our favorite son Baby Yoda will return in Fall 2020 for a second season. In the meantime, Mandalorian fans can look forward to a new wave of Funko Pops based on characters from the show.

The first wave of Pops was small and launched near the series premiere. Up until now, Mandalorian fans have only been able to purchase a generic Mando, Cara Dune, Kuiil, and the IG-11 droid. The second wave expands the roster significantly, adding 14 new Pops, four of which are retailer exclusives. Baby Yoda isn’t featured in the new wave, but an adorable Baby Yoda Pop (including a super-sized version) is already available for pre-order.

While none of the new Pops are currently available for pre-order, we imagine you won’t have to wait long to start adding to your collection. We’ll add pre-order links as soon as they’re available at major retailers. For now, check out all of the newest members of The Mandalorian Funko Pop lineup below.

Greef Karga

Former magistrate turned Bounty Hunters Guild agent Greef Karga plays a major role in The Mandalorian. You’ll soon be able to own the Funko Pop version of Karga holding two blasters.

Heavy Infantry

This Heavy Infantry Pop doesn’t have a real name, but that doesn’t matter. He looks cool, but we imagine he has terrible aim.

Offworld Jawa

Pesky scavengers who make Mando’s life hard in one episode, the Offworld Jawa translate to a pretty cool (and kind of creepy) Pop.

Incinerator Stormtrooper

Perhaps the only Stormtrooper that can aim (not exactly a compliment given his weapon), the Incinerator Stormtrooper makes for a really neat Funko Pop.

Q9-Zero

Easily one of the weirdest droids in Star Wars history, Q9-Zero’s big eyes perfectly align with the Funko Pop aesthetic.

Covert Mandalorian

The Covert Mandalorian arguably has a sleeker design than Mando himself.

Mandalorian

The first Mando Funko Pop was rather boring. This one is at least somewhat better.

The Armorer

The Armorer upgrades Mando’s armor after he completes fetch quests throughout the show. She was one of the coolest characters in season one, despite appearing in a minor role.

The Client

This is essentially a Werner Herzog Funko Pop, which makes it a must-buy in my opinion.

Mandalorian on Blurrg (Deluxe)

A deluxe Funko Pop (it’ll be pricier than the rest), Mandalorian on Blurrg is arguably the best of the bunch. Blurrgs are strangely cute.

Death Watch Mandalorian – GameStop exclusive

This stunning Death Watch Mandalorian is exclusive to GameStop. It could sell out pretty quicly.

Mandalorian with Flame – Target exclusive

Exclusive to Target, this Mando Pop is apparently shooting a flame. I’d prefer the flame to look more like the Incinerator Stormtrooper’s, though.

Trandoshan Thug – Walgreens exclusive

A Trandoshan Thug gets vaporized by Mando in Season 1. The creature doesn’t exactly play an important role, but it did appear in a great scene. The Trandoshan Thug Pop is exclusive to Walgreens.

Mandalorian with Beskar – Amazon exclusive

The best solo Mando Pop has the upgraded Beskar armor. It’s exclusive to Amazon.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo Intro Leaked

The intro movie for the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo has leaked, and it will look awfully familiar to long-time fans of the classic RPG. The PS4 version is almost a shot-for-shot remake of the original PlayStation version, with a few notable changes.

Like the original, it opens with Aeris viewing wisps of lifestream energy through a grate in the city of Midgar. She walks away–this time seemingly spooked by approaching footsteps–and steps out into the bustling street. One addition to this version is that she drops some of her flowers, and one gets ignobly stepped on by a passer-by, but otherwise the rest remains very faithful. The camera pans back to show a wide shot of Midgar accompanied by the logo, and then pulls back in to show Cloud and his companions staging their attack from a train.

The leaked movie also shows a demo title screen with options, and the moment when control reverts to the player. It wasn’t released through any official PlayStation or Square Enix channel, so it appears that the demo must have leaked in some way.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake is coming on March 3, 2020, and it’s one of our most anticipated games. Unlike the original, though, this one is being split into individual chapters. The first part will focus on the beginning of the game in Midgar, while other chapters will fill in the rest of the story. Square Enix hasn’t detailed when to expect the other games to come. Fortnite Ice Box Locations: Where To Search Ice Boxes (Winterfest Challenge)

We’re in the final stretch of Fortnite‘s Winterfest event, which means you only have a few days left to complete the limited-time Winterfest challenges and unlock some festive rewards. One of the holiday-themed missions asks you to search ice boxes, but unless you’re well acquainted with the game’s map, you may have some trouble tracking them down. If you fall in that camp, don’t worry; we’ve put together this map and guide to help you out.

Where Are The Ice Box Locations?

To complete this challenge, you’ll need to search two different ice boxes. This may seem daunting at first if you don’t already know where to look given the size of the island, but fortunately, there are many more than that scattered around the map, so tracking down two shouldn’t be too difficult. We’ve marked down the ice box locations we’ve encountered on the map below:

Fortnite ice box locations
Fortnite ice box locations
  • Dirty Docks
  • East of Pleasant Park
  • Sweaty Sands
  • West of Holly Hedges
  • Weeping Woods
  • Northwest of Slurpy Swamp
  • In the mountains southeast of Lazy Lake

How To Complete The Challenge

Now that you know where the ice boxes are located, all you need to do is track them down. A few of the locations, such as Dirty Docks, house more than one box, so you should only need to head to one of areas listed above and you’ll be able to complete the challenge fairly quickly. The ice boxes look like typical freezers, so they shouldn’t be too hard to spot. Once you’ve searched two of them, the mission will be complete and you’ll unlock a special spray for your troubles.

The Fortnite Winterfest challenges will only be around a few more days, so you’ll need to act quickly if you’re hoping to complete them and unlock the special Winterfest rewards. Another task that may pose some trouble asks you to destroy snowflake decorations, so be sure to check out our guide for help completing that mission. You can see all of our other maps and guides for this season’s trickier missions in our ongoing Fortnite Chapter 2 challenges roundup.

The Mandalorian: Spoiler-Free Season 1 Review

This is a mostly spoiler-free review of The Mandalorian Season 1, which is now streaming in its entirety on Disney+. X-Men: New Mutants Trailer Is Coming, So Maybe This Movie Isn’t Dead

Remember The New Mutants? It’s the X-Men horror movie that was originally supposed to be released in 2018, then again in 2019. After Disney completed its purchase of 20th Century Fox, it got yet another new release date–April 3, 2020–but since then not a word has been said about the movie.

With the new year approaching, though, there’s finally signs of life from the film that stars Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things), and Anya Taylor-Joy (Glass). Director Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) has revealed a new trailer is on the way.

According to a post on Boone’s Instagram, a new look at the movie will arrive on Monday, January 6–less than three months before the film bows. “We’re very excited to share it with you,” the director says.

This won’t be the first look at the film, though. Aan official trailer originally debuted in October 2017, promising a seriously scary entry into the X-Men film franchise that followed a group of mutants that have yet to be showcased in the movies.

Boone previously teased that New Mutants was inspired by both the horror genre, as well as John Hughes movies like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles–and, of course, the New Mutants comics. However, that was before reports of massive reshoots on the film in 2018 to make it scarier.

With an April release date looming and a new trailer on the way, though, it might finally be time to see what this movie is about. It’s interesting to note, however, that it might not be the final film in the X-Men franchise. Ryan Reynolds recently confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in the works under the Marvel Studios banner, which could potentially merge the wildly confusing X-Men timeline with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The New Mutants is in theaters on April 3… Probably.

Uncharted: Every Director the Movie Has Lost and Why

Most fans of the Uncharted franchise are probably taking a “I’ll believe it when I see it” approach to the long-gestating film adaptation. First announced way back in 2009, the Uncharted movie has been trapped in development hell ever since, frequently gaining and losing writers, directors and actors over the years.

The good news is that there’s been some recent progress on the Uncharted front. Sony has even established a new in-house development studio called Playstation Productions, one tasked with turning various Playstation franchises into blockbuster films. The bad news is that Uncharted’s revolving door of directors keeps spinning. Travis Knight is the latest director to drop out of this decade-old adaptation.
