House of Cards: Season 6 Will Not Include Kevin Spacey

Netflix will resume production of House of Cards’ sixth season early next year, and the final season of the popular show will not include Kevin Spacey.

As reported by Variety, Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos announced an agreement has been made to move forward with production in early 2018. “We were really excited we could get to an agreement… for the conclusion of the show,” Sarandos said at UBS’s Global Media and Communications Conference in New York.

In the wake of allegations against Spacey earlier this year, production on Season 6 was suspended, with Netflix saying it would “review the current situation” with its partners at Media Rights Capital (MRC), as well as the rest of the cast and crew of the show.

Top 10 UK Sales Chart – COD: WW2, FIFA 18 Dominate As Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Fails To Finish In Top 10

There’s very little change at the top of the UK sales chart this week (ending December 2), as the five best-selling games all maintain their positions from last week. That means Call of Duty: WWII comes top, before FIFA 18 at No. 2 and Gran Turismo Sport at No.3, according to sales monitor Chart-Track.

Star Wars Battlefront II keeps its No.4 position, while Assassin’s Creed Origins rounds off the top five once again. Nintendo Switch exclusives Super Mario Odyssey and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe finish at No.6 and No.8, respectively, but the console’s latest release, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, fails to chart in the top 10. It debuts at No.19, though that is nine places higher than its predecessor, Wii U title Xenoblade Chronicles X, managed upon its launch in December 2015.

The RPG has been received well among critics, and it earned a 7/10 in our Xenoblade Chronicles 2 review. “Xenoblade 2 exhibits admirable depth,” wrote critic Peter Brown. “Adventurous types that enjoy complex combat systems can easily spend more than 100 hours uncovering Alrest’s secrets and developing their team of Blades, provided they can come to terms with a handful of unavoidable shortcomings. It’s equal parts pleasing and frustrating, but the struggle to keep up with everything thrown your way is more of a hurdle than a roadblock. It will be a tough pill to swallow for people who aren’t accustomed to the typical cliches found in many Japanese RPGs, and its often clumsy nature keeps it from being the next groundbreaking Switch game, but Xenoblade 2 is worth pursuing if you’ve got enough patience to let it blossom.”

You can read the full top 10 sales chart below, courtesy of UKIE and Chart-Track. Note this table does not include digital sales data, and so should not be considered representative of all UK game sales.

Every Power Ranger Ever Assembles in ‘Shattered Grid’

Power Rangers: Shattered Grid is the first-ever Power Rangers comic book event, one that will encompass every Power Ranger ever. Kicking off in the landmark Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #25 by Kyle Higgins and Daniele Di Nicuolo, the story sees Lord Drakkon – an evil version of Tommy Oliver from another dimension with the power of both the Green and White Rangers – spearheading an attack on the Morphin Grid. This threatens every Power Ranger that ever was, prompting numerous teams from over the years to team up to stop Drakkon. This event coincides with the Power Rangers 25th anniversary.

“Call me sentimental, but I love anniversaries. Over the last two years, I’ve been weaving threads in the pages of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, all leading to the 25th anniversary of the franchise,” Higgins said in a press release from publisher BOOM! Studios. “‘Shattered Grid’ is a massive Power Rangers event that’s both a celebration of the property and also the largest comics story I’ve ever tackled. Lord Drakkon’s plan is so much bigger than our Rangers, our world, and even our universe. The Grid is shattering, every Power Ranger in all of existence is at risk, and it’s going to take more than just the Mighty Morphin team to
