Avengers: Endgame Final Runtime Confirmed

We’re in the endgame now. Avengers: Endgame is less than a month away, and Marvel has kicked off ticket sales with a new trailer that’s packed with new footage. With the opening of ticket sales has come confirmation of the film’s runtime, and as rumored it will be the longest Marvel film to date.

Several theater chains list the runtime at 3 hours and 2 minutes. That makes it a good bit longer than the previously longest Marvel movie to date, Avengers: Infinity War, which came in at 2 hours and 36 minutes. Infinity War and Endgame are essentially a two-part story resolving the Thanos arc that has been teased throughout the MCU, so it makes sense that these two would be the biggest in the series. In other words, if you’re currently purchasing tickets, find the theater with the comfiest seats.

The new teaser shows the handful of remaining heroes, including the new addition of Captain Marvel, assembling to confront Thanos. It also notably shows Captain America and Iron Man reconciling, which has been a looming rift since the events of Captain America: Civil War.

Avengers: Endgame will release on April 26, 2019, with some advance screenings set for April 25. Some theaters are even letting Marvel fans marathon through hours of MCU world-building with marathons of select or all of the movies to date. Avengers Endgame Tickets Go On Sale, Crashes Ticketing Sites

Tickets for the upcoming Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Endgame are now on sale. The movie hits theaters on April 26, and fans can pick up tickets for the opening weekend.

Marvel announced the ticket sale via Twitter, and accompanied it with a new trailer featuring a load of new footage from the film. The tweet also included a link to ticketing agency Fandango. However, there are reports that both Fandango and AMC‘s websites have been overwhelmed, with fans unable to load the ticket pages. The hashtag #AvengersEndgametickets was trending shortly after tickets went on sale.

Avengers Endgame is, unsurprisingly, set to the be one of the biggest movies of the year. While we haven’t seen any official predictions as to how well it will do, it seems likely that it will open at least as well as last year’s Avengers: Infinity War, which scored $257 million in its first three days in the US.

In addition, Endgame will open in China two days before the US, further boosting its potential global box office. In recent years, China has becomes an increasingly important market for big-budget Hollywood movies.

Avengers: Endgame is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Brie Larson, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Josh Brolin. You can check out the previous Endgame trailer here, and then read GameSpot’s trailer breakdown.

Fortnite Patch Notes (Content Update 8.20): New Bow And More

Fortnite has updated with another weapon and the return of a popular limited-time mode, along with some bug fixes. The patch notes for Content Update 8.20 comes just after a hotfix to address issues that were introduced in the initial 8.20 patch in late March.

The big new draw for many players will be the new Boom Bow weapon. As you might expect, it’s a bow with shotgun shells on its arrow tips, so those will explode upon impact. For that reason it uses shotgun ammo, and holding fire to increase your draw strength will increase both the arrow’s speed and the damage from impact. Explosive damage will be consistently set at 100 regardless. Save The World mode gets its own new weapon as well, the Cannonade Launcher.

The update also marks the return of the Sniper Shootout LTM. This mode limits weapons to sniper rifles only, and reduces Floor Loot spawners by 50% and deactivates reviving “Down But Not Out” teammates in Duos and Squads.

The new update also introduces some bug fixes for Arena. It fixes issues with divisions in Duos, including players being unable to queue and some players not being properly promoted, and some players being charged the incorrect Bus Fare. Creative Mode has lots of its own additions too.

Avengers: Endgame Trailer Has New Footage, Marks Tickets Going On Sale

The hugely anticipated Avengers: Endgame is now only a few weeks from release, and a new “special look” teaser trailer has been released. Despite running for less than a minute total, it’s packed with new footage and gives us the best idea yet of what to expect from the movie.

The teaser shows that the remaining heroes will come together to confront Thanos. It certainly doesn’t look like it’s going to be an easy mission but the remaining heroes look determined–as Black Widows says: “We owe it to everyone not in this room to try.” It also looks like Steve and Tony have settled their past differences, but Thanos–who hasn’t been featured prominently in past trailers–doesn’t seem very worried about their challenge. We also get a few more glimpses of Captain Marvel, as well as Tony having apparently made it back to Earth, where he reunites with Pepper Potts. Check the video out above.

This trailer’s release coincides with another bit of notable news: Tickets are now on sale for the movie. That also confirms that the film’s runtime will be three hours and two minutes long, making it–as expected–the longest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date.

Avengers: Endgame releases on April 26, 2019. It’s directed once more by Joe and Anthony Russo, and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Brie Larsson, Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Josh Brolin. You can check out the previous Endgame trailer here, and then read GameSpot’s trailer breakdown.

Endgame will be followed by Spider-Man: Far From Home in July, with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury both returning, along with a variety of characters from Homecoming.
