While onstage during Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, the publisher’s vice president, Pete Hines, took a well-time comedic shot at Walmart Canada. In May, the retailer listed several unannounced games on its website, including Rage 2–and Bethesda has a sense of humor about it.

At the beginning of the press conference, Hines quipped, “We’re starting with a game we announced a few months ago through our friends at Walmart Canada.” This of course refers to Rage 2 and was followed by a new trailer.

At the time of the leak, Bethesda, Rage, and Hines himself had some fun on Twitter. This included a tweet from Hines that read, “This is why we can’t have nice things,” and cheeky posts by the publisher. Rage 2 was officially announced shortly after.

The Elder Scrolls VI is officially in development, Todd Howard announced at Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference.

An extremely brief teaser was shown during the Sunday night press conference, showing only the logo. Bethesda clearly knew they were dropping the mic with the reveal, as this was the final reveal of the show. Watch the reveal trailer below:

Howard described The Elder Scrolls 6 as “the game after” their upcoming next-gen game, Starfield, which suggests it won’t come out until at least 2020 (assuming Starfield arrives in 2019). “It’s the one you keep asking about,” he said to immediate audience cheers during the conference. Since Starfield will be a “next-gen” game, it would seem to be safe speculation that this means Elder Scrolls IV will be as well.

The next Elder Scrolls game has been announced. Named Elder Scrolls Blades, it’s apparently a “pure Elder Scrolls game” with “console-quality graphics” despite seemingly being a primarily smartphone-based game.

Publisher Bethesda calls Blades a “uniquely mobile experience.” However, the company also said the game is coming to consoles, PC, and VR. It’s free, and coming to iOS and Android this fall. Pre-orders are open on those platforms right now, and you can also pre-register for early access on Bethesda’s website.

The game contains PvP–which is also cross-platform, meaning a PC player can play against an iOS one. It also has a town-building mechanic: as you build up your town over time, you’ll unlock new NPCs and quests. That’s not to say it’s a pure city-builder, though. Blades contains combat in the same vein as the fighting Elder Scrolls fans will be familiar with.

Elsewhere in Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference, the company announced new Prey and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus DLC, as well as a full-blown Elder Scrolls VI. For more check out our roundup of all the Bethesda press conference news.

Bethesda Game Studios has revealed its brand-new ‘next-gen’ game, Starfield. Todd Howard took the stage and revealed that this next-gen game would be a third open-world pillar next to Fallout and Elder Scrolls, and is the studio’s “first wholly original franchise in 25 years.”

The tease was incredibly short, but Howard did say, “Starfield is a game that we have spent years thinking about and working on. Something we feel uniquely positioned to pull off and that we’re incredibly excited about. But we’re also building toward the game after that. And it’s the one you keep asking about.”

Though he didn’t clarify, his use of the term “next-gen” seems to point to Starfield launching on the successors to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Todd Howard took to the Bethesda E3 2018 press conference stage to offer a new look at Fallout 76 — including a look at gameplay — and reveal gameplay details. But most notably, Howard confirmed that Fallout 76 will be “entirely online.” The release date for Fallout 76 will be November 14, though there will be a beta opened earlier that will require pre-order for entry at a date to be announced.

“We have always wanted to tell that story of you and the other

who were first to leave the Vault: it’s that each of those characters is a real person, because yes, Fallout 76 is entirely online,” he said, adding that, “Of course you can play this solo.”

At their E3 conference, Bethesda announced a new mobile game called The Elder Scrolls Blades. This is unrelated to The Elder Scrolls VI, which was also announced.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard called Blades “a massive first person RPG with console quality graphics, but with a uniquely mobile experience.” Howard also said it will be eventually come to PC, VR, and anywhere else they can put it, so it won’t only be a mobile game.

It will feature hand crafted and procedurally generated dungeons, as well as leveling and character customization. It will also have a roguelike endless mode called Abyss and a PvP mode called Arena.

During its E3 showcase tonight, Bethesda confirmed that Fallout Shelter is coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 today.

Fallout Shelter was originally revealed back at E3 2015 with a simultaneous launch on mobile. It later came to Xbox One and Windows 10, and has since gone on to pass 100 million players.

Fallout 76 will be released on November 14. This news came during Bethesda’s E3 2018 showcase.

Prior to launch, Bethesda will hold a beta (aka Break-it Early Test Application). A launch date for the beta has yet to be announced, but preordering the game is required to participate.

Additionally, Bethesda pulled back the curtain on the Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition. This special edition includes a wearable T-51b helmet, glow-in-the-dark terrain map, 24 figurines, canvas West Tek duffel bag, and more.

We all know Skyrim’s reputation as popping up on every piece of tech, from its beginnings on 360, PS3 and PC to its continued expansion into new territories like Nintendo Switch.

Bethesda’s Todd Howard acknowledged this social-media in-joke with a spoof commercial starring Keegan-Michael Keys and a new edition of Skyrim, one played on Amazon Echo.

It’s a clever and self-aware spoof taking the well-worn internet joke of Skyrim “being on everything” and making it into something truly wonderful. The absurdity of playing Skyrim through voice commands and the relaxing voice of Alexa guiding you to the snow-capped mountain peaks of Skyrim adds to the hilariousness.
