Ending the second day of E3 2018 is Bethesda’s press conference. The company gave an in-depth look at many of its upcoming games, which include Fallout 76, Rage 2, and Doom Eternal. The developer even offered brief glimpses at its roster well off into the future. The first being a sci-fi game called Star Field. But the show’s closer was what got everyone excited: the reveal of The Elder Scrolls VI.

Bethesda Makes Fun Of Itself For Re-releasing Skyrim So Many Times–A skit during Bethesda’s E3 2018 conference, which starred Key and Peele’s Keegan-Michael Key and Amazon’s Alexa, poked fun at all those Skyrim re-releases.

A totally new game called Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI are both coming from Bethesda in the future.

We finally learned what kind of game Fallout 76 is. At the Bethesda E3 2018 briefing today, Fallout director Todd Howard confirmed that Fallout 76 is a multiplayer-focused, always-online game. The characters you come across in Fallout 76 are real people. The game is entirely online.

However, you can also play by yourself, Howard confirmed. “Of course you can play this solo,” he said. Regarding why Bethesda is taking Fallout in such a new and different direction, Howard said, “We’ve always wanted to see what our style of game could be with multiplayer.”

Bethesda came up with the idea for Fallout 76 four years ago, Howard said. That would mean Bethesda started working on the game before Fallout 4 came out in 2015. And overall, he describes it as a “softcore survival” game.

Howard also clarified that after you die, you’ll keep your character progression, which is good to hear. “Death never means the loss of progression or your character,” he said. It had been believed prior to the full reveal that Fallout 76 would resemble Rust, a game where progression can be lost.

Along with a variety of details and trailers, we also learned Fallout 76’s release date is set for November 14.

SCUM looks brutal, and it’s coming to Early Access on Steam this August.

Devolver Digital announced Metal Wolf Chaos XD, a remaster of Dark Souls developer From Software’s 2004 Xbox game. The original game was only released in Japan.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD will be released later this year on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. This is the second From Software project featured at E3 2018, with the first being Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which was on Microsoft’s stage and is being published by Activision.

The original Metal Wolf Chaos was developed and published by FromSoftware, the studio behind Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Armored Core, in 2004. A third-person shooter about a fictional US president fighting back a coup in a mech suit, Metal Wolf Chaos was released exclusively in Japan but featured English voice acting. Its over-the-top premise and voice acting earned it cult classic status.

Bethesda has announced its first new IP in 25 years: Starfield. It’s a game Todd Howard said has been in development for years, and it’s one that Bethesda feels uniquely positioned to pull off. A trailer shown during E3 2018 opened with a shot in space, with a planet outlined by a distant sun. It panned down to a small space station, which was then seemingly pulled into a black hole. You can watch the trailer above.

Beyond that, no details were provided, so it’s unclear what the game is, how it plays, or pretty much anything other than it’s sci-fi. Starfield has been rumored for some time now, as Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax, trademarked the name “Starfield” in 2013. We don’t know when it’s set for release or what platforms it will be available for.

Starfield was just one of the many games discussed during Bethesda’s press conference. In addition to it, Bethesda also announced Doom Eternal, gave us a whole bunch of new information on Fallout 76, and confirmed Elder Scrolls 6 is in development.

On top of that, there was the announcement of Elder Scroll Blades, a new mobile entry in the series that, according to Howard, has console-quality graphics. During Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, the publisher announced the next game in the Elder Scrolls series: The Elder Scrolls VI. The announcement followed Elder Scrolls Blades, a mobile game that seeks to be a “pure” Elder Scrolls experience.

No other details about the game were provided outside of a short teaser, which you can watch above. It shows a mountainous region and some fog accompanied by a version of the iconic Dovahkiin music. A setting wasn’t specified, although fans are sure to do some sleuthing to narrow down the list of possibilities. We also got no indication of when Elder Scrolls VI will release or what platforms it’s coming to.

Earlier in the press conference, Bethesda’s Todd Howard joked about Skryim’s many re-releases. This was followed by a skit featuring Key & Peele’s Keegan-Michael Key and Amazon’s Alexa. The Elder Scrolls Blades reveal was a bit later, and the Elder Scrolls VI announcement closed the show. We also got news on another much-anticipated project, Starfield, which is the first “wholly original” franchise from Bethesda in 25 years.

Fallout 76 is one of Bethesda’s most anticipated games, and now we got a more in-depth look at the game. During Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference, the studio shared more details about the latest Fallout, which is said to be four times larger than Fallout 4, and revealed new gameplay trailers along with a presentation from game director Todd Howard. Check it out in the video above.

Howard led the presentation which showcased the landscape of West Virginia, but also how it functions as a game that is entirely playable online. It’s both a four-player cooperative and PvP experience, but Fallout 76 can still be played as a single-player game.

This is actually the second trailer for Fallout 76 revealed today. Earlier in the day, Todd Howard appeared on stage during Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference to show off the game for the first time ever.

Fallout 76 is about rebuilding, and all the people who emerge from the Vault will be responsible for forging a new beginning. You’ll be able to play Fallout 76 this year since it launches on November 14, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders for the game will begin on June 15 and a beta is coming sometime soon.

Fallout 76 has quickly become one of our most anticipated games, and we finally know more about it. Bethesda’s E3 2018 press conference gave us more details about the upcoming game, which we now know is an online multiplayer game.

Fallout 76 was announced just a couple of weeks ago. We now know it’s coming out November 14 this year, and we also know the game will be getting a beta–the Break-it Early Test Application. Finally, the game is getting a cool-looking collectors’ edition that contains a real glow-in-the-dark map and wearable helmet.
