Watch Shadow Of War’s Backstory Explained By An Orc

It’s been a while since Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor came out–three years, in fact–so it’s understandable if you’ve forgotten some of the events of the game. In a new trailer, an orc named Bruz the Chopper gives you all the info you need to jump into Shadow of Mordor’s upcoming sequel, Shadow of War.

Bruz provides a quick overview of the original game’s story, followed by a description of Shadow of Mordor’s world and features. He’s a memorable narrator, too, with a pretty irreverent and blunt sense of humor. The video actually looks and sounds a bit like other YouTube story breakdowns. You can check it out above.

If you want a slightly more in-depth look at Shadow of Mordor’s story (and one with less orc slang), you can check out our recap here. Shadow of War’s narrative stars Talion and Celebrimbor, the main characters from the original game. It also takes some significant creative liberties from the Lord of the Rings canon, such as portraying the spider Shelob as a woman. You can read GameSpot’s recent interview with lead narrative designer Tony Elias about these story changes here.

Shadow of War launches tomorrow, October 10. In our 7/10 review, critic Justin Haywald wrote, “It tries to be larger than its predecessor, there are more abilities, more weapons, more Orcs, yet it leaves you wanting less. But at its core, it’s a fun experience with brilliant moments that provide fascinating insight into some of the untold stories of Middle-earth. I just wish it had known when to stop.”

16 Force-Fuelled Shots From the New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer

Disney and LucasFilm have unleashed the hugely-anticipated first full-length trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi today, and alongside that a string of high-res stills directly from it.

You can check them all out in the gallery below.

Our initial thoughts on the trailer, which seems packed to the brim with misdirection, can be found and discussed here.

The arrival of the trailer follows the unveiling of a new theatrical poster for the film, as well as confirmation advance tickets have gone on sale in the US. Tickets are also on sale in Australia and, according to Star Wars UK on Twitter, will be available in just a few hours in the United Kingdom (7AM BST)

The Last Jedi – Is the New Trailer Nothing But Misdirection?

SPOILERS AHEAD! MAYBE! PROBABLY NOT! WHO KNOWS!

We’ve all just seen the first full length trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi and boy, was it epic! This two and a half minute slice of nerd heaven appears to show some seriously climactic events. In fact, it appears to show events so massive they would straight up spoil the film. That seems unlikely (despite recent chatter of marketing departments spoiling films against the wishes of directors). In all likelihood, the majority of what we’ve seen is simply designed to misdirect.

New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer Released, Watch It Now

As promised, a new trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been released, and you can watch it above. But just as its director suggests, this is one you’ll want to sit out if you want to avoid revealing too much. Don’t worry, we’ll leave those big moments out as well–but there are plenty of them.

During Monday Night Football, the latest trailer for the latest edition of the Star Wars Saga hit the air, and if you haven’t seen it, director Rian Johnson wants you to avoid watching it, in case you’re trying to remain spoiler-free. However, you can still rewatch the first trailer for the film, which debuted earlier this year during Star Wars Celebration in Orlando. (Following the release of the trailer, Johnson took back his earlier comment and encouraged fans to just watch the trailer.)

As seen above, Rey, Finn, Kylo, and the rest of the Star Wars characters are all in very different places. Rey is off training with Luke Skywalker to become a Jedi, there are some great spaceship battles throughout the clip, and we even get to see a little bit of Snoke. However, like Johnson said, there are a few moments that might give too much away for most Star Wars fans. So again, if you’re looking to go into Star Wars: The Last Jedi fresh, you may want to skip this.

The Last Jedi stars Daisy Ridley (Rey), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), John Boyega (Finn)–whose character is a big deal in the new film–Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron), and Adam Driver (Kylo Ren). Tickets for The Last Jedi are now on sale prior to its December 15 release. If this has you amped up for some Star Wars action, EA conveniently extended the Battlefront II beta, allowing you to jump into the shoes of Rey and company for a bit longer. The full game releases on November 17 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Malcolm In The Middle Star Opens Up About His Memory Loss Struggles

Frankie Muniz, who starred on the Fox comedy Malcom in the Middle in the 2000s, revealed tonight that he doesn’t remember much of being on the show, or anything else that he lived through years ago. He made the revelation on Dancing With The Stars tonight, saying he had nine concussions and multiple “mini-strokes” in his life. However, he didn’t say for sure that these events are what led to his inability to remember playing Malcolm on the beloved show.

“It makes me a little sad,” Muniz said, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. “Things pop back into my mind [that] I should have remembered.”

9News reports that Muniz also said, “I’m not actually sure how my memory loss started,” adding that he has never sought professional advice on his memory loss. “I’ve never been to the doctor and been like, you know, ‘Why don’t I have a memory?'” he said. “To be honest, I’ve never really talked about it.

Muniz’s TV father on Malcolm in the Middle, Bryan Cranston (Hank), talked about Muniz’s accomplishments during the Dancing With The Stars episode. “Frankie was a TV star, then he became a race car driver, and then a drummer in a rock band. I said to him, ‘What are you going to be next, an astronaut?'”

He added: “They are still [his] experiences. My job is to tell him to remember what happened on Malcolm in the Middle. What a life.”

Malcom in the Middle was on TV for seven seasons, wrapping up in 2006. The show also starred Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Erik Per Sullivan. In December last year, Cranston talked about the possibility of a Malcolm in the Middle movie.
