The Last Jedi Is 2017’s Highest-Grossing Movie

With $533.1 million in ticket sales in just three weeks of release — including an additional first place finish of $52.7 million over New Year’s weekend — Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now the No. 1 movie of 2017 at the domestic box office.

The Last Jedi dethroned another Disney release, Beauty and the Beast, which drops to second place with $504 million.
