The Division Update Adds Xbox One X Enhancements, New Content

Ubisoft has announced a new update for The Division adds Xbox One X 4K Ultra HD optimization in addition to a number of other visual enhancements and new content.

Update 1.8.1 is available now on all platforms, bringing with it two new global events: Blackout – available at the end of April – and Onslaught – available at the end of May. Additionally, a number of tweaks and changes are being deployed in 1.8.1, namely the following:

  • Increased drop rate for Classified Gear
  • Legendary difficulty added for Amherst’s Apartment and Grand Central Station missions
  • More than 40 new commendations
  • Global Events offer new Classified Gear Set catches specific to each set

DC Reduces Logos to Emphasize Art on New Variant Covers

DC Comics has a new look for its variant covers, and it puts the focus on the art.

Comics Beat reports the new trade dress has no logos and contains an inconspicuous variant cover box, UPC box, titles, and credits all located at the bottom of the covers. This all makes for more a cleaner, focused look with an emphasize on the artwork.

Overwatch Considering Cross-Platform Progression Sharing

Overwatch players could potentially be able to share progress between consoles sometime in the future.

Speaking to PC Games News, game director Jeff Kaplan said Blizzard is having “ongoing and frequent discussions” about cross-platform progression sharing with their tech group.

“It’s something we would very like to explore,” Kaplan said. “It’s very challenging for many reasons, and I won’t get into all the details as to why, but I think it’s a very valid desire that our players have and it’s something that the Overwatch team would love to figure out.”

Mark Hamill Explains Why He ‘Doesn’t Care’ About Returning as Luke

Mark Hamill doesn’t care anymore about returning to Star Wars and reprising his role as Luke Skywalker.

In an interview with ABC News (via CinemaBlend), Hamill revealed losing Carrie Fisher, who passed away in 2016 at age 60, has ruined any enjoyment he had of ever returning to the franchise. Also, not having Harrison Ford play Han Solo in future Star Wars movies has also tarnished Hamill’s desire of coming back.

“It really has tarnished my ability to enjoy it to its fullest,” Hamill said, speaking about the loss of Fisher and returning to Star Wars. “You were asking earlier, ‘Are you gonna come back?’ I don’t care anymore, on that level. Because Han Solo is gone, Luke is gone.
