EVE Online Players Pay Amazing Tribute to Stephen Hawking
Earlier this week, the family of theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking confirmed that he had passed away at his Cambridge home, aged 76. EVE Online players are paying tribute by lighting beacons across the game’s interstellar expanse.
Reddit user kairiola suggested that New Eden’s pilots light up cynosural beacons as a form of memorial.
The beacons are used to open jump bridges for warp speed travel, emitting a brilliant light. The sight of one would usually have nearby players’ hackles up, possibly denoting the imminent arrival of someone looking for a spot of ship-to-ship combat. But in this instance, they served as an awe-inspiring tribute to the loss of one of the world’s greatest minds.

Jurassic Park Gets a Fashion Line to Celebrate Its 25th Anniversary
A collaboration between Gen Art and Universal will see the launch of a Jurassic Park-themed line of clothes later this month to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the limited-edition fashion line will be available on March 28 at Macys.com
The Gen Art x Jurassic Park collection has been designed by Gen Art creative director, Phoebe Dahl, and will feature menswear, womenswear, and unisex styles featuring designs, patterns, and patches inspired by the movie.
Far Cry 5 Has Cosmetic-Only Microtransactions
Far Cry 5 will ship with microtransactions, albeit only for cosmetic items.
Ubisoft PR confirmed the news to GameSpot, saying that the microtransactions will be available in the game’s single-player, co-op and head-to-head multiplayer modes.
Players can opt to speed up their progression with microtransactions, but Ubisoft has confirmed that they will not affect actual gameplay.
Further, Far Cry 5 Executive Producer Dan Hay confirmed that the game’s single-player campaign will be fully playable offline.
An internet connection will still be necessary for the games multiplayer modes, including the feature-filled Arcade mode, which offers an absurdly detailed map editor.
‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered’ Listing Spotted
An Amazon listing for ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered’ has appeared, with a release date of April 30.
As spotted by IGN Italia, listings for both Xbox One and PS4 versions of the game have been added to Amazon Italy, with prices of €19.99 (approximately $25 USD / £17 / $31 AUD).
