Fortnite Mobile Makes $1 Million in First Three Days

Fortnite iOS launched last week and players spent $1 million on in-app purchases within the first 72 hours.

According to data from Sensor Tower, the game has raked in over $1.5 million worldwide so far, which is impressive, considering the release has been limited to invite-only on iOS.

Sensor Tower reports that, based on cosmetic in-app purchases alone, Fortnite has grossed around a third of the revenue that Pokemon Go earned in its first four days on iOS. Niantic managed to make $4.9 million in four days, so Fortnite’s numbers really aren’t too shabby.

The game also topped the iOS charts in 47 countries less than 24 hours after launch, and ranked within the top 10 in 58 countries. Fortnite will be coming to Android eventually, but for now, it’s invite-only on iOS.

Mr. Rogers: A War Hero Is the Latest Bootleg Universe Short

A new Bootleg Universe short film from producer Adi Shankar has been revealed: Mr. Rogers: A War Hero.

The film, which is the Bootleg Universe’s spin on TV icon Mister Rogers, is the latest of a series of popular and sometimes controversial takes on popular IPs. Previous installments have included The Punisher: Dirty Laundry, Venom: Truth in Journalism, and Power/Rangers.

“When I was young my heroes had magazords, adamantium claws, and vampire slaying whips. They were spectacular and unlocked my imagination. But after the events of the past few years my heroes have changed, and now anyone who selflessly enriches a child’s life is a hero to me. This entry is a love letter to a man who showed us what being a good neighbor looks like,” said Bootleg Universe creator Adi Shankar.

Gravel Review

Gravel is an arcade-style off road racer that eschews tight and twisty traditional rallying in favour of mostly high speed assaults on generously wide tracks carved through a variety of exotic locations. Think less Codermasters’ Dirt and more a store-brand SEGA Rally Revo.

The problem is that Gravel sits in a weird place on the racing spectrum; the casual driving dynamics are easy enough to pick up but the racing itself is surprisingly plain and basic for a game unshackled from any licensed motorsport organisations. The result is a passable yet unremarkable racer in a marketplace thick with better ones.

Gravel’s solo mode revolves around a globetrotting, fictional racing TV show dubbed ‘Off-Road Masters’ – but it’s only a thin thread of context to string together what’s essentially an entirely conventional single-player racing career mode. Other than the occasional boss race the only real baggage the TV show premise comes with is an unlikeable announcer I turned off very quickly.

Grab Xbox One X, Sea Of Thieves, And Another Game On The Cheap Right Now

Sea of Thieves is one of the most anticipated Xbox One exclusives of the year, and it comes out tomorrow. However, there’s already a pretty good deal going on for the game if you happen to be in the market for an Xbox One X: you can grab a console with Sea of Thieves and another game for just $460.

A current promotion on Ebay slashes the price of a bundle that includes an Xbox One X, a game code for Sea of Thieves, and a choice of either Ghost Recon: Wildlands or Overwatch: Game of the Year Edition. The Xbox One X still retails normally for $500, Sea of Thieves is $60, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Overwatch are still in the $40-60 range, so this is a fantastic deal.

To take advantage, go to this Ebay page and add the bundle to your cart. You’ll see the $460 price tag when you begin checking out. It’s worth noting, though, that this is a limited deal, and it’s unclear how many of these bundles will be sold. So if you’re interested, it’s worth taking advantage of it sooner rather than later.

This isn’t the only Sea of Thieves deal going on right now: Microsoft is also holding an official promotion that bundles an Xbox One X and a digital copy Sea of Thieves together for the console’s normal retail price of $500. You can also grab a 1 TB Xbox One S, an extra controller, 1 month subscriptions to Xbox Live and Game Pass, and Sea of Thieves for $300.

Sea of Thieves launches tomorrow, March 20, although servers are already up in some regions–read here to see when Sea of Thieves goes live where you live. If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you’ll get access to the game for free on Xbox One and PC. If you want to learn more about the game, check out our video where we fight the Kraken in Sea of Thieves.
