New Xbox Console Exclusive Sees You Spend The Day With The Hitman Who Plans To Kill You

Developer Mischief has released the first official trailer for Adios, an upcoming first-person adventure game about a pig farmer who used to dispose of bodies for the mob but decides he doesn’t want to anymore. The game is scheduled to launch for Xbox One and PC.

Adios doesn’t have a release date yet, but in a tweet, the developer says that players can expect the game will come out “very soon.”

As seen in the trailer, embedded above, the game begins with the pig farmer telling a mob hitman that he no longer wants to participate in the organization’s dirty dealings. Knowing he’ll be forced to kill his friend if he no longer works for the mob, the hitman tries to convince the farmer to keep feeding bodies to his pigs. The two of you spend the day together completing odd jobs and exploring the farm–both knowing that the hitman will kill you if he can’t convince you to stay with the mob.

Apple Seeks Damages From Epic In Newest Court Filing

In Apple’s September 8 court filing, the tech company is now seeking damages from Epic over breach of contract. “Although Epic portrays itself as a modern corporate Robin Hood, in reality it is a multi-billion dollar enterprise that simply wants to pay nothing for the tremendous value it derives from the App store,” the company stated in the filing.

In addition to wanting Epic’s external payment system permanently stopped and removed, Apple wants all earnings and profits generated as a result of Epic making it possible for players to bypass the App store’s payment system. Apple also claimed that it has been “injured in its business and has suffered damages, loss of goodwill and product image, and other harm.”

Apple’s filing is in response to Epic’s preliminary injunction against Apple to get Fortnite back on the App store. Epic’s Apple developer account was terminated on August 28, and prior to that, Epic’s appeal for a restraining order was partially denied. The judge ruled that Apple will not be forced to put Fortnite back in stores, but also that Apple cannot touch Epic’s Unreal Engine, which is used by many other developers.

Jason Momoa Stands With Justice League Co-Star Ray Fisher Amid Warner Bros. Battle

Jason Momoa has just expressed his solidarity with Justice League co-star Ray Fisher, who over the summer made allegations of “gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable” mistreatment while filming with Joss Whedon on that movie. In a tweet back in July, Fisher said Whedon was “enabled, in many ways, by [producers] Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.”

Momoa posted an Instagram story on Tuesday with a photo of Fisher bearing the caption “IStandWithRayFisher.” Whedon has not yet publicly commented on the accusations, nor has Fisher elaborated on what conduct comprised the above patterns of behavior, but Berg told Variety that it was “categorically untrue that we enabled any unprofessional behavior.”

Over the weekend, Fisher tweeted about his meeting with a Warner Bros. investigator, and how he wants to “ensure a fair and protected process for all witnesses.”

Destiny 2 Update Makes Some Important Changes To Perks, Full Patch Notes Detailed

Bungie has rolled out a new update for Destiny 2 on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One that tweaks how Perks operate and are consumed. The full patch notes for Update 2.9.2 are detailed below.

Perks that give ability energy upon Super activation–think Apotheosis Veil, Radiant Largesse, and the like–will now initiate after Super energy is consumed. This means these perks will no longer be free, instead being consumed so players can no longer exploit the way perks used to provide additional ability energy by canceling a Super during warm-up.

Update 2.9.2 also makes a number of gameplay adjustments, including displaying the correct Power level required to complete the “Become Legend” step of the New Light quest, making Redrix’s Broadsword reclaimable from Collections, fixing issues with Trials vendor engrams, and more.

Jason Momoa Is First Justice League Cast Member to “Stand With” Ray Fisher in Accusations Against Joss Whedon

Jason Momoa is the first Justice League cast member to publicly “stand with” Ray Fisher in his case against Joss Whedon.

Momoa played Aquaman in 2017’s Justice League alongside Fisher’s Cyborg with Whedon serving as the director after previous director, Zack Snyder, had to bow out due to personal reasons. Fisher recently accused Whedon of running a toxic and hostile set and that DC Films chair Geoff Johns and former co-chair Jon Berg enabled Whedon’s alleged bad behavior. The rest of the Justice League cast has remained quiet, but on Sept. 8, Momoa showed his support for Fisher on his Instagram story, as originally reported by Variety.

Jason Momoa Stands With Ray Fisher

As you can see, Momoa said “#IStandWithRayFisher,” which marks the first show of public support from any of Fisher’s fellow Justice League cast members. Momoa didn’t mention anything else but the message is pretty clear. Fisher posted a screenshot on Twitter of Momoa’s post that says “Let’s Go!!! #BORGLIFE Accountability>Entertainment.”

Amidst Fisher’s accusations, WarnerMedia responded and said, “(To) date, Mr. Fisher has declined to speak to the investigator.” You can read the full WarnerMedia statement here. Fisher responded and said that he isn’t cooperating with WarnerMedia’s investigative probe because he believes it isn’t fully independent.

Without inferring into Momoa’s message, it’s a case of Fisher’s story versus the DC Films side of the Justice League Production. It’s worth noting that Momoa has voiced his support of Fisher while in talks to voice the titular character in an upcoming Frosty the Snowman Warner Bros. picture that has both Johns and Berg attached to it.

You can check out Momoa and Fisher in their respective DC roles in the upcoming Snyder Cut of Justice League, which is set to hit HBO Max in 2021.

Madden 21 Adds Colin Kaepernick as a Top Free Agent

EA has announced that former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick will be returning to the EA Madden series as a top free agent in Madden 21. This is Kaepernick’s first appearance in an EA Madden NFL game since 2016.

In a statement published on the official Madden NFL Twitter account, EA says, “Colin Kaepernick is one of the top free agents in football and a starting-caliber quarterback. The team at EA SPORTS, along with millions of Madden NFL fans, want to see him back in our game.”

“Knowing that our EA SPORTS experiences are platforms for players to create, we want to make Madden NFL a place that reflects Colin’s position and talent, rates him as a starting QB, and empowers our fans to express their hopes for the future of football. We’ve worked with Colin to make this possible, and we’re excited to bring it to all of you today.”

Formerly the quarterback for the San Francisco 49ers, Kaepernick made headlines in 2016 when he kneeled during “The Star-Spangled Banner” in a silent protest against police brutality and racism. At the time there was a media backlash to Kaepernick’s decision to kneel, though the practice has become more common across a variety of sports.

He became a free agent after the 2016 NFL season, which was also the last year he appeared in a Madden game.

At the time EA Sports said that after Kaepernick became a free agent, he was not included in the group licensing agreement EA negotiates with the NFL Players Association. This means EA was unable to obtain the rights to Kaepernick’s likeness and appearance for subsequent Madden games.

Kaepernick’s name was also censored in two songs featured in Madden 18 and 19, which EA says was a mistake. “Members of our team misunderstood the fact that while we don’t have rights to include Colin Kaepernick in the game, this doesn’t affect soundtracks. We messed up, and the edit should never have happened.”

[ignvideo url=”https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/16/madden-21-official-reveal-trailer”]

EA Sports reportedly negotiated directly with Kaepernick for his Madden comeback, and that the quarterback was “hands-on” in how his avatar would appear in Madden 21.

Kaepernick has an 81 overall rating in Madden 21, placing him in the top 15 quarterbacks. For more, check out IGN’s Madden 21 review.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits – Combat, Story and More Details Revealed

New details have been revealed for Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Ember Lab’s upcoming adventure title.

Game Informer answered some burning questions about Kena: Bridge of Spirits, including advantages to playing on PS5, game length, inspirations for the game, and more.

[ignvideo url=”https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/06/30/kena-bridge-of-spirits-developer-commentary”]

As you’d probably expect, there are visual differences between the PS5 and PS4 versions. More characters and visual elements appear on screen on the next-gen version, and forests and foliage will be denser on PS5. Ember Lab says Kena: Bridge of Spirits was built in Unreal 4.

Gameplay-wise, Kena: Bridge of Spirits is being described as a wide-linear experience, not an open world game. There will be a hub village players discover in-game, which is a jumping off point to go explore other environments. As for combat, Kena can use a light, heavy, and charged attack with her staff, and upgrade it to turn it into a bow.

The little creatures seen in the trailer are known as the Rot, and Kena can find them as she travels through the world. Besides having an important role in the story, the Rot serve a purpose in the gameplay as well. Kena can direct the Rot to help her solve puzzles and maneuver through the world.

[widget path=”global/article/imagegallery” parameters=”albumSlug=kena-bridge-of-spirits-playstation-5-screenshots&captions=true”]

Game Informer says if you felt some 3D Zelda vibes from the reveal trailer, you’re not too far off. There is definitely inspiration from the 3D Zelda games, which isn’t surprising given that Ember Lab is known for a Majora’s Mask video sitting at almost 10 million views on YouTube.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits doesn’t have a release date yet, Ember Lab says you can expect it to release within the next few months. The game will not cost a full $60, and Ember Lab says you will be able to comfortably finish its story over a weekend. Additionally, it will not include microtransactions. It’s coming to PS5, PS4, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
