Zack Snyder’s Justice League Will Get Worldwide Release On March 18

Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be released worldwide on Thursday, March 18. HBO has confirmed that the DC movie will be available internationally on a variety on platforms as well as on HBO Max in the US.

The company is yet to specify which distribution options will be available in each territory but did release a list of the intended platforms, which include premium video on demand, subscription video on demand, HBO linear, and HBO Go. The only countries that aren’t covered by this are China, France, and Japan, where a release date for the movie hasn’t been announced yet.

The announcement that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be released worldwide on the same day that it hits HBO Max follows criticism by Snyder of HBO’s release plans. In a recent interview with the SnyderCutBR YouTube channel, he said, “there has been not amazing work done with the distribution of the movie. I don’t know why that is, I honestly couldn’t put my finger on it.”

Street Fighter Coming To Fortnite In New Crossover

The crossover frenzy that has been this season of Fortnite appears to be continuing with another legendary gaming franchise. Capcom’s Street Fighter will reportedly be the next to join the game, as shown in leaked images of the latest dimension-breaking portal.

On Twitter, Fortnite leaker ShiinaBR shared images they obtained that show off what appears inside the next portal. The previous one showed Tron imagery prior to an official announcement, and this one looks like Suzaka Castle. If the level sounds familiar, it may be because in addition to several Street Fighter games, it’s also Ryu’s signature state in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

We were able to verify this ourselves by visiting an area southwest of Sweaty Sands. You have to be standing in the correct spot for the portal to open.

Daisy Ridley Reflects On Star Wars Career, Says She Would Come Back

Daisy Ridley played Rey in the new Star Wars trilogy, but the character’s arc has come to a close and the new Star Wars films will move on without her. But in the future, would Ridley be open to revisiting the character some day or re-joining the Star Wars universe in another way? She responded to this in the April 2021 issue of Empire, leaving the door open for it to happen.

While Rey is probably finished “for now,” she reflected, Ridley has a “never say never” attitude toward the future. Ridley said she was floored to see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian, and she could potentially see Rey coming back in the future as well in some capacity.

“I mean, never say never,” she said.

NASA’s Perseverance Mars Rover Has Landed On Mars, Hasn’t Discovered Any Demons Yet

Six months and more than 300 million miles later, the NASA Perseverance rover has touched down on Mars. Nicknamed “Percy” by the mission control team, the probe began sending back images of the red planet shortly after it executed a perfect landing at 3:55 p.m. ET on Thursday. Though the power of technology, you can see the NASA team monitor and guide the rover in the video below. Luckily, it all went fairly smoothly.

To see just how amazing the Perseverance landing was, PBS covered the event and its infamous “seven minutes of terror”, which involves navigating through the thin Martian atmosphere at a speed of over 12,000 mph and attempting a soft landing on the Martian surface.

“This landing is one of those pivotal moments for NASA, the United States, and space exploration globally–when we know we are on the cusp of discovery and sharpening our pencils, so to speak, to rewrite the textbooks,” said acting NASA Administrator Steve Jurczyk to CNN. “The Mars 2020 Perseverance mission embodies our nation’s spirit of persevering even in the most challenging of situations, inspiring, and advancing science and exploration.”

John Carmack Proposes Console And GPU Auctions To Eliminate Market Scalping

Id Software co-founder John Carmack has suggested a novel approach to combat the scourge of scalpers and resellers who are taking advantage of the global shortage of semiconductors: auctioning off new consoles and PC hardware.

Supply of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles have been unable to keep up with demand, while PC hardware such as Nvidia’s latest range of RTX graphics cards have also been snatched up by scalpers and resold for a price that includes a hefty mark-up. When the figures were last tallied up, it was estimated that resellers had made over $82 million in profit.

Carmack’s idea is for Sony, Microsoft, and Nvidia to cut out the middlemen from business, and auction off console stock themselves. Would this initially lead to incredibly high bids from interested buyers? Absolutely, but Carmack believes that this strategy would cut out resellers from getting their hands on new generation consoles and making a profit afterward.
