Star Wars: The Last Jedi Trailer Brings First Official Glimpse of Snoke

Today’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi has brought with it the first proper glimpse of Andy Serkis’ mysterious villain, Supreme Leader Snoke.

Snoke appeared in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens as an immense hologram, and we’ve since seen his likeness revealed via a figurine and a set of official Star Wars postage stamps and trading cards, but this marks the first time we’ve officially seen the real, horribly-disfigured Snoke in action, albeit briefly.

New Star Wars: The Last Jedi Poster Debuts Before Latest Trailer

A new poster for Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived. The dramatic-looking, red-soaked poster shows Luke Skywalker up top, filled out with principal characters like Rey, Kylo Ren, Finn, Poe, Leia, Chewbacca, General Hux, R2-D2, and C-3PO, among others. [Update: The new Last Jedi trailer is also now available, showcasing even more than what’s seen in the poster.]

The new poster arrives just ahead of the new trailer, which is expected during the Monday Night Football broadcast on ESPN. We’ll post the trailer here and a breakdown of what’s in it later tonight. Keep checking back with GameSpot for the latest.

No Caption Provided

The Last Jedi comes to theaters on December 15, and tickets are on sale now. Directed by Looper‘s Rian Johnson, The Last Jedi is a sequel to 2015’s smash hit The Force Awakens, picking up directly after the events of that film.

The Last Jedi stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, and Andy Serkis. Fisher sadly passed away in December 2016. However, Leia is expected to receive an “amazing” send-off in the film and will not be resurrected for Episode IX through the use of CG. The Last Jedi will also have an evil BB-8.

What do you make of the new poster? Let us know in the comments below!

Star Wars: The Last Jedi Tickets On Sale Now Alongside Trailer’s Release

[UPDATE] Tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi are on sale now, through sites like Fandango and others. You can also watch the new Last Jedi trailer, which reveals quite a bit more about the film and its characters. The original story is below.

Tickets for this year’s highly anticipated new Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi, go on sale very soon. Ticket company Fandango has announced that pre-sales for tickets will open tomorrow, October 9, after the new trailer airs during Monday Night Football. [Update: You might have a chance to snag tickets early, as CNET reports that the Showcase Cinemas app is selling them right now.]

Fandango is the “most anticipated movie of the year,” the ticket-seller said, citing one of its surveys. A survey of Fandango users showed that an astonishingly high percentage–95 percent–said they plan to see the movie in theatres. The film, which is directed by Loooper‘s Rian Johnson opens on December 15.

Fandango is of course just one ticket-seller, but the company appears to be the first to say when tickets go on sale. Buying through Fandango gets you a free Last Jedi poster.

“There’s nothing quite like a new Star Wars movie, with its nostalgic appeal, new characters and creatures, rousing action and inspiring storyline,” Fandango Managing Editor Erik Davis said in a statement. “This is why we go to the movies, and fans are already eager to snag their advance tickets on Fandango to see The Last Jedi two months from now.”

The new Last Jedi trailer will premiere tomorrow, October 9, during the Monday Night Football broadcast on ESPN. Johnson recently said that some people may want to “absolutely avoid it” if they are hoping to go into the film with fresh eyes.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 Beta Extended For PS4, Xbox One, And PC; Here’s When It Ends

If you haven’t yet gotten around to trying out the Star Wars Battlefront II beta, or you simply haven’t had your fill, you’re in luck. Electronic Arts has extended the beta an extra two days, providing players with more time to see what the sequel has to offer.

The beta had been scheduled to end earlier today, but it will now instead run until Wednesday, October 11. EA didn’t say why it made the change or if any additional content would be introduced. As it stands, you can sample four modes: Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, Strike, and Arcade. The first three are online multiplayer modes that range in maximum player count (going as high as 40 in Galactic Assault). Arcade is a 1-2 player mode with offline split-screen support.

You can check out our previous coverage for more details on exactly what’s in the Battlefront II beta. The beta began on October 4 for people who pre-ordered, later opening to everyone on October 6. The campaign is inaccessible, but you can get a decent taste of the multiplayer–and its contentious microtransaction system.

Star Wars Battlefront II releases on November 17. We’ve already played some of the content featured in the beta and came away impressed. Interestingly, the 2005 Star Wars: Battlefront II has also received a new update that restored multiplayer and allows cross-play between Steam and GOG.

Batman vs. Two-Face Review

Note: Batman vs. Two-Face premiered at New York Comic Con. It will be released on Digital on October 10 and on DVD and Blu-ray on October 17.

After last year’s Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders brought us a new adventure for the 1966 Batman team, Warner Bros. Animation has returned with this fun sequel which brings two new legends into the mix — Two-Face and William Shatner! Sadly, the film also says goodbye to the man who has long personified the Caped Crusader for many of us, the late Adam West. But it does so in an endearing and sweet manner.

Two-Face never showed up in the original TV show from the ’60s, although an unproduced script from sci-fi author Harlan Ellison did feature the character (rumors that a young Clint Eastwood was considered for the role appear to be just that — rumors). That story was turned into a comic book a couple of years ago, but still, the absence of one of Batman’s key rogues was always an odd gap in the show’s history. Now, however, that gap has finally been filled with Shatner rather expertly stepping in as Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
