The Call of Duty Twitter account is seemingly teasing new content coming to Warzone–and it looks like it will be related to the newly released zombies plaguing a small part of Verdansk.
On Twitter, the Call of Duty account shared a “breaking news report” from the BCH4 newsroom. The video features a newscaster discussing the recent events occurring at the Shipwreck crash site, which “released hordes of zombies onto the shores of Verdansk.” The newscaster then throws it to fictional reporter Mike Field (in the field) before the helicopter he’s dropping in on gets shot down. The video feed subsequently cuts back to the newsroom.
Zombies are only on one part of Verdansk, the Shipwreck crash site. This locale on the map is a tiny portion of the expansive Verdansk, so the rumor is that zombies will spread across the region. March 10 marks Warzone’s one-year anniversary and thus players are assuming the zombie outbreak will continue to grow until then, at which point Verdansk is said to get nuked.
Destiny 2 will not be holding a Trials of Osiris event this weekend due to an ongoing issue, which may be related to players who have begun cheating by trading wins with each other. The cancelation of this weekend’s event comes after Bungie was forced to disable Trials of Osiris last weekend, apparently because of the same problem.
Due to an issue that was discovered last week, Trials of Osiris has been canceled this weekend. We will provide more information on next weekend as it becomes available.
Bungie’s help account referenced last week’s incident in its tweet on the cancellation, adding that it would provide information on the following week “as it becomes available.” This could mean we’re looking at another cancellation next week if the problem can’t be solved, but this remains to be seen.
As noted above, players have recently begun coordinating to essentially throw matches. This involves getting matched up with other willing teams and then having one side deliberately lose.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s 11.0.0 update is now live, and it includes an extra bonus for certain players. Those who have save data for Persona 5 Strikers or Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection on their Switch will unlock a couple of bonus Spirits when they boot up Nintendo’s mascot fighting game.
Persona 5 Strikers players will receive a Spirit of Sophia, while Ghosts ‘n Goblins players will get a Spirit of Arthur. These Spirits will also appear in Smash Bros.’ in-game shop and on the Spirit Board at a later date, so you’ll still be able to get them even if you don’t have save data for either game.

Switch Online members can also grab a couple of free Spirits. Nintendo is giving away a free Spirit Set that unlocks one random Legend-class Support Spirit and one random Ace-class Primary Spirit. To claim the free set, you’ll need to have an active, paid subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online service.
John Wick franchise writer Derek Kolstad is teaming up with Amazon Studios to develop a live-action Hellsing movie.
Deadline reports that the iconic Japanese manga series Hellsing is being given the live-action adaptation treatment, with Kolstad on board as the screenwriter and producer. The project’s other producers include Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger, Ranger 7 Films’ Mike Callaghan and Reuben Liber, together with Soluble Fish Productions’ Jason Lust.
Hellsing is an action-horror manga series written and illustrated by Kouta Hirano and published by Shōnen Gahōsha. The original run started back in 1997 and continued all the way through to 2008, with each new volume delving deeper into the story of Alucard, a powerful vampire who is bound to the mysterious Hellsing Organization, working to combat vampires, ghouls, and other supernatural threats.

“Ever since my brother introduced me to the Hellsing manga and anime some years ago, I’ve been obsessed with adapting it,” Kolstad said, referencing the forthcoming project. “And when Mike Callaghan and his team managed to secure the rights to then partner us up with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Amazon, I mean -damn, dude- this is a dream.”
“I’ve always loved the vampire genre, especially when a creator is able to put their own unique spin on it, so when Derek introduced me to Alucard and the Hellsing Organization, I knew we had something special in that tradition,” Callaghan added. “Kouta Hirano’s gonzo reimagining of the Dracula-Van Helsing mythology is an exhilarating, quirky mashup of action and horror that’s unlike anything we’ve seen before. We are incredibly excited to partner with Brian and Fred at Automatik and that Amazon is on board to help us bring the wit and madness of Hellsing to life on screen.”
As well as bringing Aculard to the screen, Kolstad recently penned the upcoming action-thriller Nobodystarring Bob Odenkirk, and featured on the writing team for Marvel’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series, coming to Disney+ on March 19. He is also returning to write the scripts for John Wick: Chapter 4 and 5, as well as the Paramount-set Dungeons & Dragons movie.
