Disney CEO Comments On Gina Carano’s Firing From The Mandalorian
In February, Gina Carano was fired from her role as Cara Dune on the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian. In a recent statement, Disney CEO Bob Chapek reiterated that she was not fired for her politics.
The Disney boss explained in a statement (via Variety) that it had nothing to do with politics and that “values that are universal.” He said that Disney wants to make content that is “reflective of the rich diversity of the world that we live in.”
Disney cut ties with the actor after a series of controversial social media posts comparing the persecution of Jewish people by Nazis to hating someone for their political views. This wasn’t the first time Carano found herself in trouble for her social media posts. She’s mocked mask wearing during the current COVID pandemic, promoted misinformation about voter fraud, and expressed transphobic views. Carno had been warned by Disney for previous posts. Carano has moved on to produce a movie with Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.
Valheim Moder Boss Fight Guide – How To Defeat The Frost Dragon Solo
The fourth boss you’ll take on in Valheim is Moder, the frost dragon queen of the Mountain biome. Moder is a huge enemy that fights on the ground and can take to the skies, but the terrain on which you face the boss can give you an advantage. It’s possible to defeat Moder all by yourself if you bring the right gear and carefully manage the fight. Here’s everything you need to know to beat Moder.
To take on Moder, you’ll first need to clear the way to the Mountain biome by taking down Eikthyr in the Meadow, The Elder in the Black Forest, and Bonemass in the Swamp. You’ll also need the ability to withstand the cold, so it’s highly recommended that you mine and craft some Wolf armor ahead of this battle–at least the Wolf Cuirass or the Wolf Cape, which will give you automatic Frost resistance. We’ve outlined exactly what gear you should have below, which will give you the best chance of defeating Moder even if you can’t bring a squad of other Vikings to help you.
We’ve got lots more Valheim coverage, check out our complete Valheim armor guide, as well as our guide for finding Iron and crafting Iron gear and for finding Silver and crafting Wolf armor, for venturing through the Swamp biome, and for taking down the Elder boss.
Streaming Service Peacock Lost $914 Million In 2020
NBCUniversal’s streaming platform Peacock lost $914 million in 2020. The numbers come via a filing by parent company Comcast with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
As reported by Variety, Peacock made $118 million for NBCUniversal in 2020. However, the company spent $989 million in what is termed “eliminations.” These are payments from within the company for Peacock to license movies and shows from other divisions. The filing by Comcast was made as part of its new method of reporting its results to the SEC, dividing its business into media, studios, and theme parks.
While $914 million is obviously a high figure, a loss is to be expected for a new service in its first year. Comcast executives previously told investors that they will be investing more than $2 billion into Peacock over its first two years, and expected the service to break even by 2025.

PS5’s DualSense Controller On Sale For The Best Price We’ve Seen
The PS5 may be hard to find, but its controller remains readily available at retailers, and now’s the first time you can snag it at a discount. Right now, you can get the PS5 DualSense controller for only $60 at Woot, down from its regular price of $70. This deal comes less than four months after the console’s release and is a good chance to stock up on a couple extras for multiplayer.
The DualSense is a much improved controller over the DualShock 4. It boasts greater battery life, USB-C connection, and an improved speaker. The big difference, however, is the controller’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, both of which enhance gameplay by adding an appropriate amount of tension or force depending on your in-game actions.
Starz Releases First Look At Stephen Amell, Alexander Ludwig In Wrestling Series Heels
Cable network Starz has finally shared a first look at Heels, an upcoming drama about indie wrestlers vying for national attention in small-town Georgia. In a recent tweet from the network, Jack Spade (played by Arrow’s Stephan Amell) and Ace Spade (played by Vikings’s Alexander Ludwig) are introduced via a pair of screenshots. Check them out below.
Introducing Jack and Ace Spade! We’re so excited to share this first look of @StephenAmell and @AlexanderLudwig in @HeelsSTARZ. #STARZ pic.twitter.com/QiglSFmqsO
— STARZ (@STARZ) March 9, 2021
Admittedly, these are not the most action-packed shots–the wrestling brothers are literally just standing still–but the tweet is a nice bit of vindication for fans who have never lost faith about the show that was first announced way back in 2017. Ace and Jack don’t look thrilled on entering the ring, though that makes sense given the show’s official synopsis: “[Heels] follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals war over their late father’s legacy.” The show will dig into their twisted family dynamics, and also explore “the men and women who chase their dreams in the world of small-town wrestling.”
It’s also worth noting that the digging taking place in this show has a fair amount of authenticity. Amell has worked with WWE at SummerSlam in 2015, worked with Ring of Honor in 2017, and wrestled at the huge indie show All In in 2018.

Acer Predator CG437K Gaming Monitor Review — Beauty Of A Beast
When it comes to PC gaming, you’ll most commonly see people rocking setups with monitors no bigger than 27 inches. With how close people usually are to their monitors, this size is a good fit for most spaces. However, it’s hard to deny the appeal of an even larger monitor, especially if your desk allows for that kind of room. The Acer Predator CG437K 43-inch monitor is a beastly gaming display, one that commands attention. It provides a great gaming experience that will be appealing to many PC gamers, though those who are already accustomed to HDR-capable 4K TVs may come away disappointed.
Display and performance
The Predator CG7’s massive size is accompanied by a sharp 4K image that makes the finest details stand out. Whether I was playing on PS5 or PC, games looked clean. For example, the intricate designs of Demon’s Souls armor and enemies are beautifully displayed, while Valheim’s stark and simple art style is immediately eye-catching and shines brilliantly on the CG7’s 4K VA panel.
The CG7’s colors can be quite vibrant, too, though its viewing angles tend to let it down a bit. Facing the monitor straight on provides the best image, with bright colors popping off the screen stunningly. However, if you’re off-center, you may notice darker colors start to wash out. This is the one area of the CG7 I’m disappointed with. The HDR performance is below par, and if you’re accustomed to playing games on a 4K TV with good-quality HDR, you’ll notice a big difference. Blacks are a touch washed out, while brighter scenes tend to feel too bright. It took me a while to tweak the settings to where I was happy, and even then, I was never quite satisfied with the image–I would often just play without HDR entirely.
