Amazon Alexa Users Can Grab A Free Movie Ticket This Month–Here’s How

Amazon Alexa users will be able to score a free movie ticket later this month through Atom Tickets. From March 16 through March 29, Atom will hand out one free ticket to a movie of your choosing when you use the Atom skill on an Alexa-compatible device to place your order. The promotion is only good in the United States.

Alexa skills like Atom Tickets can be added to a variety of Alexa-supported devices, including the Fire Stick, Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Fire tablets, and Fire TVs. To add the Atom Tickets skill, you simply need to say “Enable” to prompt Alexa to ask which skill you’d like to add.

With the Atom Tickets skill installed, Alexa will find theaters near you, ask you which movie you’d like to see, and even let you choose reserved seats (if applicable). The skill requires Amazon Pay to be enabled. After placing your order, your ticket(s) will be emailed to the address associated with your Amazon account.

PC Skateboarding Game Skater XL Launches On PS4, Xbox One, and Switch This Year

After getting announced during Nintendo’s Gamescom 2019 presentation, the indie skateboarding game Skater XL will launch on PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One sometime this year.

Developer Easy Day Studios took to the PlayStation blog to detail some of the gameplay mechanics players can expect when Skater XL leaves Steam Early Access this year. To give you more freedom than EA’s Skate franchise and the legendary Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, Skater XL assigns each foot to a thumbstick. Thus, the left stick controls your left foot while the right stick controls your right foot. This will allow for a deeper level of “expression, personalization, and style [of] gameplay,” studio director Dain Hedgpeth wrote.

Hedgpeth also said that Skater XL’s “core gameplay is designed more as an expressive and creative tool than a traditional video game with pre-set challenges to complete, [featuring] several real-world locations based on iconic skate spots from California and the West Coast.” A concrete release date has yet to be provided.
