Before Fortnite Season 11, A Major Event Will Take Place This Weekend

Season 10 of Fortnite is now slated to end on October 13, after Epic extended it by an additional week, and it appears this season will go out with a bang. Ahead of Season 11, countdown timers have started to pop up all over the island, suggesting a big world-changing event is taking place in the battle royale game this weekend.

The timers can be seen on TV screens across the island, as well as above the rocket at Dusty Depot. As of this writing, there are six days remaining in the countdown, which would mean it’s set to expire on October 13, the day Season 10 now ends.

Epic typically ushers in each new season of Fortnite with some kind of world-changing event, so it’s no surprise that one is on the way ahead of Season 11, but it’s unclear what exactly this event will entail. However, many fans are speculating that it will lead to an entirely new map next season, as dataminers have recently discovered a list of new locations within the game’s code.

While there are still many questions lingering around Season 11, we do know the next season will add bots to the game. As part of its matchmaking changes to Fortnite, Epic confirmed it will add AI-controlled opponents to the game to help players hone their skills; the better players become, the fewer bots will appear in their matches. However, the matchmaking changes have raised concerns because players from different platforms are now matched together, potentially giving those on certain platforms an advantage.

With Season 11 on the horizon, now’s your last chance to complete any remaining challenges from this season. Epic will also be rolling out a set of Overtime challenges beginning October 8. If you need help finishing up any tasks from this season, be sure to check out our complete Fortnite Season 10 challenges guide.

New Zombieland 2 Red Band Trailer Has Bill Murray In It, Alive And Well

The sequel to 2009’s Zombieland may have taken 10 years to make, but the main cast for the October 18 movie, titled Zombieland: Double Tap, is back. But they’re not the only people returning in the new red band trailer. Bill Murray makes an appearance as well. Check it out below.

The movie continues the adventures of Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson), Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), Wichita (Emma Stone), and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin) as they traverse the zombie-infested American landscape. This time around, they’re are some new people joining them including Madison (Zoey Deutch), Nevada (Rosario Dawson), and Albuquerque (Luke Wilson), who may or may not be related to Tallahassee.

Bill Murray does appear in the red band trailer, doing an interview with Al Roker. If you remember in the original film, the main characters ended up at Murray’s estate during the apocalypse, and found Murray in zombie makeup, just hanging out. Tallahassee and Wichita decided to play a joke on Columbus and Little Rock and Murray went into the screening room where they were watching a movie to scare them. However, Columbus grabbed his shotgun and put a hole in Murray’s chest, killing him. More than likely, Murray isn’t back from the dead in Double Tap. This is probably just an old interview someone found.

We’ll learn more when Zombieland: Double Tap comes to theaters on October 18, and hopefully, we’ll get to see another one in the series because Emma Stone has a pretty fun idea for a third film.

Respawn Entertainment, the developer behind the hotly anticipated Jedi Fallen Order, released a new trailer during Triple Force Friday last month. We broke down everything in the trailer, which focused on the villains and the challenges protagonist Cal Kestis will face when Jedi Fallen Order launches on November 15 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

With the reveal of Dark Rey in Episode IX, the question of “who she even is” lingers in the midst of this new Star Wars trilogy. Before The Rise of Skywalker lands in theatres on December 20, we had the opportunity to chat with co-writer Chris Terrio about the new movie, Rey, the Force, and her connection to it all.

Hearthstone Pro Calls For Hong Kong Liberation During Blizzard Live Interview

Footage of an official Blizzard interview with a Hong Kong-based professional Hearthstone player has been taken offline after the player expressed support for the protests in Hong Kong.

InvenGlobal first reported that Ng Wai “blitzchung” Chung expressed his support of the protests while being interviewed by the official Taiwanese Hearthstone organization following his win against South Korean player Jang “DawN” Hyun Jae on October 6.

During the interview, Chung wore a face mask on camera. It was a reference to the government-issued ban on wearing face masks while protesting, something Hong Kong protestors have been doing to protect their identities.

Control Confronts Us With A Very Specific Type of Horror: A Lack of Control

Remedy’s Control is a game about recognizing our inability to have a firm grip on an indifferent universe, yet reaching out to grab it anyway. It is a game about items closely connected with our world but which are still off: Something gnaws at the edges of what we know, scratches at the corners of what we can know, and whispers of a layer of brutality and cold indifference we refuse to acknowledge blankets all existence.

It is a game about existential dread, and this constant awareness of that which we can never grasp is central to the weird and the ‘New Weird’ subgenre of horror. The dread father of the genre, HP Lovecraft, gave this particular type of weirdness a definition and distinction from other brands of horror. For Lovecraft, the true weird tale was more than merely “bloody bones, or a sheeted form clanking chains.” It had to do with the creation of the inexplicable, the realisation of constant dread, the nagging notion of “unknown forces”.

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition – $50 ($60)

See at Amazon

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition includes everything that’s been released for CD Projekt RED’s huge RPG. That means Switch players will be able to play the full Wild Hunt campaign, in addition to the Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine expansions. It also comes with 16 DLC packs, which include content like quests, contracts, and armour, in addition to cosmetics like new beards and hair.

Additionally, the Switch port comes with stickers, a world map, and a compendium for The Witcher universe. The physical version also includes everything on a single Switch card, so you won’t need to download anything to enjoy it.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt received one of GameSpot’s few 10/10 scores. In our The Witcher 3 Review, critic Kevin Van Ord called it “one of the best role-playing games ever crafted, a titan among giants and the standard-setter for all such games going forward.”

“Where the Witcher 2 sputtered to a halt, The Witcher 3 is always in a crescendo,” he wrote. “But while the grand clashes are captivating, it is the moments between conflicts, when you drink with the local clans and bask in a trobairitz’s song, that are truly inspiring.”

FIFA 20, Apex Legends Servers Down As EA Suffers Connectivity Issues

EA is experiencing a server outage impacting some of its online games including FIFA 20, Battlefield 5, and Apex Legends. In a tweet, the company said it is aware of connectivity problems with its games and is working to address them.

In a follow-up, the company also said some users may be experiencing issues with contacting its help resources, which could prevent players from sending reports. That could be a byproduct of users attempting to send reports, especially since games like FIFA are top sellers in some regions.

The nature of the outage is unknown. Apex Legends players, at least, appear to be getting an error code 100 or 103, which prevents users from signing in to their EA account.
