Australian actress Ruby Rose, who plays Batwoman on the new CW show premiering soon, has revealed she had emergency surgery earlier this year to save her from potential paralysis.

In a post on Instagram, Rose said doctors informed her she needed surgery to repair two herniated discs that she suffered from performing stunts. It was a very serious situation, as Rose said, “I was told I needed an emergency surgery or I was risking becoming paralyzed.”

You can watch the graphic surgery video here on Instagram. Rose spoke about why she had her procedure filmed. “To anyone asking why I let them video it.. Did you not watch that Greys Anatomy episode where they left a towel in a patient?? Also I wanted to see what happens when we go under,” she said.

Rose reportedly had the surgery some time ago. She said she was informed “a couple of months ago” that she needed the surgery. People started noticing a scar on her neck that resembled a Pez dispenser, and she wanted to let fans know what it was all about.

“I had herniated two discs doing stunts, and they were close to severing my spinal chord. I was in chronic pain and yet couldn’t feel my arms,” she said.

Rose went on to thank her doctor for the surgery, which was a success and will allow her to “keep working and doing what I love.”

“I am forever in your debt,” she wrote to her medical team.

Batwoman premieres Sunday, October 6 on CW.

The new Breaking Bad movie, El Camino, will reportedly feature 10 or more familiar characters. The story focuses on what happens to Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) immediately after the events of Breaking Bad, but what other characters are returning? One more can now be added to the list.

Jonathan Banks, who played Mike Ehrmantraut on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, told ET Canada that he’ll appear in El Camino. “Yes. They’ll hit me in the head for saying this, but yes, why not? How hard can they hit me? None of those guys hit very hard anyway,” Banks said.

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) murdered Mike in the Breaking Bad Season 5 episode “Say My Name,” so fans are wondering how Ehrmantraut might come back for El Camino. One possibility is that this may happen in a flashback scene.

After all, the full-length trailer for El Camino showed two figures that look like Jesse and Mike–standing by a river that looks similar to the one where Walt killed Mike. It’s also possible that this is Walt and Mike standing side by side, but it’s hard to say for sure who they are given the silhouettes and clothes are not completely consistent with Breaking Bad.

The two cars in the background appear to be Mike’s Chrysler New Yorker and Jesse’s red Toyota Tercel, which lends to the suggestion that this scene shows Mike and Jesse, though this is only speculation.

As for the other returning characters in El Camino, trailers have already confirmed that Skinny Pete (Charles Baker), Badger (Matt Jones), and Joe (Larry Hankin) will come back, in addition to Jesse (Aaron Paul) in the leading role.

A rumored casting sheet for El Camino mentioned that the following characters would return: Mike, Skinny Pete, Badger, Ed, Mrs. Pinkman, Kenny, and Jane. The sheet also said Walter White will return with Bryan Cranston reprising his iconic role.

According to a report, one of the returning characters is so secretive that the producers flew them to set on a private jet to avoid detection. If Walter White is indeed coming back, he would certainly fit the bill of a massive surprise cameo that the producers would want to keep a secret.

El Camino comes to Netflix and select theatres on October 11.

The Breaking Bad movie, El Camino, is almost here. As such, Netflix is making sure everyone on the planet is aware of that. Following the full-length trailer, Netflix has now released a more intimate, character-focused teaser video that shines a little more light on the mysterious movie.

The new “Go For Joe” teaser video re-introduces viewers to Old Joe from the salvage yard. As viewers may recall, Joe helped Walter and Jesse out of tight spots numerous times over the course of Breaking Bad with his own crooked manoeuvrings. In El Camino, Jesse is on the run, and it appears Jesse will turn to Joe for some help yet again.

Actor Larry Hankin (Escape From Alcatraz, Friends) is back as Joe, and he receives a heavy phone call. After picking up with his trademark and exuberant, “Go for Joe,” his demeanour immediately changes when he realizes he is speaking to, presumably, Albuquerque’s most wanted man, Jesse Pinkman. “Yeah, I know who this is. At this point, who doesn’t? Joe says with a sigh.

This is only speculation, but this teaser (which was already glimpsed in an earlier trailer) might suggest that Jesse is looking for Joe’s help again with what he does best: making stuff disappear. Given that the El Camino that Jesse owns ties him to all number of crimes, it might be that Jesse is looking for Joe’s help to destroy his vehicle.

Joe already destroyed the RV owned by Jesse and Walt that doubled as their meth lab. Additionally, he helped Jesse and Walt with the magnet and battery situation to destroy a laptop inside the police station. Additionally, it is presumed that Joe crumpled the Mike Ehrmantraut’s car.
