Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Reportedly Getting VR Support This Week

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, according to dataminers, will potentially be getting Labo VR support and new amiibo modes this week.

SSBUBot, a feed that pulls server update information for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, has posted notes about the latest potential upcoming update – 3.1.0, which will add, as early as tonight, a VR mode that is compatible with the Toy-Con VR Goggles to Smash Ultimate.

While not much is known as to what this mode will entail, it promises that “a whole new perspective on the Smash action awaits,” and means Smash Ultimate will join Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild as big Nintendo first-party titles that have added VR support.

Death Stranding: Special Guest Directors Don’t Play Their Own Characters

Yesterday’s Death Stranding trailer confirmed the appearances of both Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn in Hideo Kojima’s next game. But they really are, quite literally, just that: appearances.

In a tweet, Kojima explained that Winding Refn has had his face and body scanned for the game’s Heartman character, but that another actor is responsible for animating and voicing him. The same process has been applied to del Toro.
