Ubisoft has a ton of DLC planned for its latest open-world adventure, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and players can now jump into the game’s first free post-launch story mission. The first chapter in The Lost Tales of Greece is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC as part of Odyssey’s new 1.0.6 update, which also makes a number of other changes and improvements to the game.
Once players have installed the update, they’ll be able to jump into a new questline titled The Show Must Go On. In the patch notes on Reddit, Ubisoft says that the quest is open to all players who have made it to chapter 5 of the story and can be found in the Elis region, but it recommends that you reach at least level 34 before tackling the new questline.
The Lost Tales of Greece is a series of free story missions that Ubisoft will release “between” the game’s paid DLC episodes. Ubisoft says these will “feature familiar faces and new characters from the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.” Players can also purchase a Season Pass, which entitles them to two “major” storylines broken up into three episodes apiece. The first of these, Legacy of the First Blade, is slated to kick off this December.
In addition to the new story quest, update 1.0.6 makes improvements to the Mercenary menu and other aspects of the game. Now, you’ll be able to select the ability to auto-craft normal arrows if you have enough resources, and the cost to upgrade your gear has been reduced. You can read the full list of changes in Ubisoft’s patch notes.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 5; a streaming-only version is also available for Nintendo Switch in Japan. The game had one of the best launch weeks of the franchise and received positive reviews. GameSpot awarded it an 8/10 in our Assassin’s Creed Odyssey review and said the game “makes great strides in its massive and dynamic world.”
A lot of announcements have come out of Blizzcon 2018 so far, but the funnest and most bizarre might be the announcement of a cereal based on a joke from Overwatch. Lucio, the skating DJ support character who uses his music to heal and speed boost teammates, is getting a real cereal from Kellogg’s called “Lucio-Ohs,” based on one of Lucio’s sprays.
There’s already a full commercial for the cereal, which Blizzard dropped on YouTube. You’ll have to wait until December to tear into a box of Lucio-Ohs, though, but the part of a complete breakfast will also come with in-game Overwatch loot.
Fruity loops aren’t the only Lucio product you can snag for yourself–Blizzard also released a full album of Lucio music you can download right now at luciomusic.com.
Synaesthesia Auditiva is Lucio’s in-universe debut album, and it’s actually been a part of the Overwatch story for quite a while. Blizzard released a fictional news story back in 2015 detailing the international DJ sensation’s world tour. In Overwatch, the essential part of Lucio’s character is that his music has literal healing properties, and the news story mostly provides a story explanation for them. But included with it were two real tracks from the album that fans could listen to online for free.
There hasn’t been much more on the Lucio front since then, even though Blizzard shared both the cover art for Lucio’s album, as well as its full track list. In the meantime, though, Overwatch has grown significantly with new characters, and Blizzard has put out several more story trailers that add details to the game’s world. Lucio hasn’t gotten such a trailer, but the album might be even better.
It’s nearing Thanksgiving, and that means the infamous Black Friday is right around the corner. It’s a day where a sea of people invade retail stores like White Walkers trying to get past The Wall. Kohl’s–a story primarily known as a clothing retailer–has a few deals that may be up your alley, including gaming. From TVs to a ton of smart home products and smart watches, Kohl’s giant Black Friday circular has a plethora of items available on the shopping holiday.
Many of these deals are available online and in store, but the doorbuster deals begin online at 1:01 AM ET on Thursday, November 22 and in stores at 5 PM, locally, the same day, but check with your participating local Kohl’s store in case its hours vary. The standard Black Friday deals begin online at 1:01 AM ET on Monday, November 19 and in stores at 5 PM local time on November 22.
While there are plenty of items discounted for the event, Kohl’s is also offering $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 you spend, which can be redeemed between November 24-December 5. You can save 15% more online when you use promo code CHEERFUL at checkout. Additionally, there is a barcode in the circular that has the same effect but it can only be used in stores, at checkout.
Kohl’s isn’t offering much in the way of televisions, but it does have a couple deals. There is a 49″ LG 4K Smart TV for $330 (originally $450), and a 58″ Samsung 4K Smart TV for $550 (originally $900). Supplies will be limited for both of these doorbuster sales, so it’s first come, first served, and coupons do not apply to either of these televisions.
If you’re looking to smarten up your house, Kohl’s has multiple products on sale, all of which are doorbusters, so you’ll have to act fast if you want them. Both the Nest Thermostat and Nest Video Doorbell will be on sale for $180 each. Kohl’s has plenty of smart speakers as well. The Amazon Echo ($70), Echo Dot ($24), and Echo Spot ($90) will all be part of the doorbuster deals.
Check out some of the best Black Friday deals from Kohl’s below. It’s still early, and more may be added to the Black Friday list, so we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes.
November has arrived, and it’s time to plan out your Black Friday shopping. With the downtime you’re more than likely to have this holiday season, wouldn’t you like to have something to watch? Target has revealed its Black Friday deals, which includes video games and TVs, and the circular has plenty of huge deals on movies and TV series. You can check out Target’s full ad here, but we’ve gone through and picked out some items that may be of some interest to you.
Most of these items are available online as well as in the stores. If you’re planning on making the journey with the masses to a local Target, the doors open at 5 PM on Thursday, November 22 and will stay open until 1 AM on Friday, November 23. During this time, Target will more than likely restock the shelves and its employees will try and regain their sanity. The store will re-open at 7 AM that morning on Friday. Hours may vary depending on location. It’s first come, first served for the items and there will be limited quantities for everything in the Target ad.
If you’re one of the people that still buys physical copies of your movies and TV series, then this sale will be right up your alley. Target has plenty of new and old DVDs, Blu-rays, and 4K discs on sale for $4 and $9 as part of the doorbusters promotion. Please don’t take the term “doorbuster” literally though. That’s destruction of property and totally illegal. Out of all these doorbuster sales, you’ll probably want to pick up Spider-Man: Homecoming on 4K for $9 or Lego Batman on Blu-ray for $4.
If you’re looking for TV series to binge through, Target has full seasons on sale for $10. For Blu-ray, you can pick up Season 8 of The Walking Dead or Season 3 of Rick and Morty. On DVD, seasons of Game of Thrones, The Flash, and Westworld are all on sale for $10 as well.
Check out the full list of Target’s sales on movies and TV series below. More may be added to the Black Friday list, so we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes.
November is here, and that means it’s time to plan out your Black Friday shopping. Up until the actual event–on November 23–retailers will be revealing their huge deals for the holiday season. The first to show off their wares is Target, and aside from a ton of deals on video games, the company also has plenty of TVs and tech for sale on the retail holiday.
Instead of blindly rampaging through the retail giant, you can plan out your excursion with the list of selected items below or through the full Black Friday ad from Target’s website. The deals are available online, but if you want to bravely battle the crowds, Game of Thrones-style, Target’s doors open at 5 PM on Thursday, November 22 and will stay open until 1 AM on Friday, November 23. Target will re-open at 7 AM that morning. Hours may vary depending on location. It’s first come, first served for the items and there will be limited quantities for everything in the Target ad.
Like every year, the main focus is on TVs. There are 21 televisions featured in the ad, with almost all of them being doorbuster promotions. You’ll have to make your Lord of the Rings-esque journey to a local Target for these deals rather than buy them online. There are plenty of great Samsung TVs on sale, most of which are 4K Smart TVs. You can get $180 off a 65″ 4K Smart TV for $650 or get the curved version for $800–which saves you $300. There is also an LG 4K Smart TV on sale for $750, saving $150 from the original price. The cheapest 4K TV for Black Friday is a 55′ from Element for $200.
If you’re looking to add some upgrades to your TV, you can add a Sony 4K Blu-ray player for $150, and that’s a savings of $100. You can add a soundbar from Samsung for $120, so you can experience your movies with theater-quality sound. Amazon, Google, and Roku all have streaming devices on sale as well, for as little as $25 for the Fire TV Stick.
Check out the “best of” list for Target below and the items prices. More may be added to the Black Friday list, so we’ll keep you updated if there are any changes.

One of the first things you learn in Red Dead Redemption 2 is how to hunt. It’s a survival skill that can help you sustain your cores while out in the wild, and it’s a reliable source of cash if you’re able to quickly gather and turn around animal pelts–the better the condition, the more valuable, of course.
While it can take time to spot high-quality animals and even longer to learn how to hunt them efficiently, without making a mess of their pelt, the hardest piece of the puzzle to figure out early on is where to go to sell fur for cash once it’s in your hands. You need a trapper, and we’ve got an easy-to-follow guide that shows you exactly where Read Dead 2’s wandering Trapper can be found; five locations in all.
Saint Denis
The main location is in Saint Denis, the bustling city to the south. You can go there at any point after the game sets you free. The trapper is located within a busy market, under the giant brick wall painted red with an advertisement for biscuits. This is this only trapper location within a town or city; the rest are scattered throughout the wilderness.
Roanoke Ridge Woods, New Hanover
Tucked away in the woods, around the northeast quadrant of the map, lies a shady outpost for our industrious trapper.
Big Valley (East), West Elizabeth
Slightly Northeast from the nearby Riggs Station lies our man, setup in the middle of a small clearing.
Big Valley (North), West Elizabeth
With lots of great hunting opportunities nearby, the convenience of the trapper’s spot in the northwest corner of the map is worth taking advantage of.
Endgame Trapper
We don’t want to get into too many specifics here, but know that this trapper spot won’t be available until the final chapter in the game.
At BlizzCon 2018, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan appeared on stage to debut Reunion, a new animated short for McCree. It begins at Route 66’s diner, where the gunslinger is enjoying a slice of pie, before a train crashes just outside. McCree grabs his hat and his guns and sets out to investigate.
As the Deadlock gang rob the train, McCree comes into view to meet Ash, a white-haired member of the gang who seems to be voiced by Jennifer Hale. McCree asks her to hand over a crate that has something mysterious in it. Sadly, we don’t get to see what’s inside, but having seen it, Ash decides to hold onto it. Naturally, a standoff begins, and you can see how that goes in the video above.
In the lead up to BlizzCon, Blizzard set about managing expectations, saying that it was not planning to announce a new Overwatch map during the show, as it had done in previous years. However, it did confirm that new map was indeed in development. Not wanting to leave fans disappointed, Kaplan confirmed that Ashe is the new Overwatch hero. We’ve since learned what Ashe’s abilities are.
Major updates are on their way to a few of Overwatch’s characters. Currently, Blizzard is testing tweaks to Mercy, Reaper, Symmetra, and Roadhog on the Public Test Realm. The PTR is only available on PC, where players are able to take the tweaked versions of these characters into battle before they’re released to the wider Overwatch community on all platforms.
Among the changes, the cost of Mercy’s Ultimate is lowered by 15%, while her healing per second is being upped from 50 to 60, which should make her a more viable and valuable healer. For Reaper, meanwhile, the spread pattern of his shotguns are being made more consistent, while the amount of health he gains from The Reaping ability has been increased. This means that his offensive potential in direct engagements is much better. For Symmetra, her primary fire beam will charge 20% faster, which raises her damage output.
However, Roadhog has had the most significant changes, with his Chain Hook cooling down as soon as it’s used now. When the hook lands, it now reduces his victim’s speed of movement too. The spread pattern on Roadhog’s Scrap Gun has been adjusted, so now his primary and secondary fire deal more consistent damage. Finally, the knockback velocity of his Whole Hog Ultimate has been increased. The patch notes for the PTR update can be found here.
BlizzCon is underway, and as part of the annual keynote Blizzard once again announced new happenings within Overwatch. Though the studio warned that we wouldn’t be seeing a new map at the event, it did take the occasion to debut its latest playable character: Ashe, who made her debut during the McCree short. [Update: We’ve now learned more details about Ashe’s abilities and kit.]
As detailed in the animated short Ashe is the leader of the Deadlock gang and a former friend of McCree’s. She looks to be a hyper-mobile hero that uses a rifle and a sawed-off shotgun, as well as dynamite, which it looks like she can shoot in mid-air to make it blow up early. Her mobility, meanwhile, comes from a Quake and Unreal Tournament-like rocket jump executed by firing the shotgun at the ground. Her Ultimate involves calling in Bob, a hulking, powerful member of the Deadlock gang who gives her support fire. According to game director Jeff Kaplan, Ashe is a super-high mechanics character, so should require a lot of time and effort to learn. Check out the gameplay video to see her in action.
Kaplan said the team will reveal more details about how Ashe plays in the Overwatch: What’s Next, which is happening later today. If you want more story context for her, make sure to watch “Reunion,” the McCree animated short.
The new character joins other recent additions this year, Wrecking Ball and Brigitte. Most recently, Blizzard made balance adjustments for Mercy, Reaper, Symmetra, and Roadhog. Roadhog had the most dramatic changes, with some large buffs to his Chain Hook and better spread pattern to his Scrap Gun. It was all aimed at making him better for crowd control by making his traps work more consistently.
Blizzard’s annual fan convention, BlizzCon 2018, is officially underway. Today brought with it the opening ceremony, which effectively serves as a press conference for the company where it tends to make many of its big announcements for the year. The ceremony has now concluded, but it started out with a heartwarming moment as former Blizzard president Mike Morhaime, a fixture of these events, spoke to the crowd before handing things off to his successor, J Allen Brack.
Below, we’ve also rounded up all of the major news Blizzard has shared. While it likely won’t have anything huge to share over the course of the weekend–the big news typically comes in the opening ceremony–we’ll report back with any other news, along with interviews and more.
New Heroes Of The Storm Character
Heroes of the Storm is expanding with a wide variety of content, much of which is coming in 2019. But most notable among the game’s BlizzCon reveals was that of a new character, Orphea. Significantly, she is an original character for HotS–the very first one to be designed for the game, rather than being imported from another of Blizzard’s franchises.
Destiny 2 Goes Free On PC (For Now)
Just prior to the opening ceremony, Activision announced that Destiny 2 on PC–which is available through Blizzard’s Battle.net client–is now free to download. This isn’t a permanent change, but if you claim it before it returns to its regular price, you can keep it permanently. You’ll need to buy the Forsaken DLC to make the most of it, but it’s still a nice freebie.
Lúcio-Ohs
During the pre-opening ceremony segment, Blizzard confirmed it is indeed set to release a breakfast cereal based on Overwatch in partnership with Kellogg’s. It plays on a joke from the game itself and is called Lucio-Ohs. You can get a look at it in the video below.
WoW Classic Release
World of Warcraft Classic is playable for BlizzCon attendees, and a demo is on the way for Virtual Ticket holders. For everyone else, WoW Classic will release in Summer 2019. It’ll be available with a standard WoW subscription.
New WoW Cinematic
The Horde-Alliance feud has seen some real twists and turns of late, and that will only continue going forward. Blizzard revealed a brand-new WoW cinematic that sees a new partnership being forged; check it out above.
New Overwatch Animated Short And Character — Hero 29, Ashe
Following an entertaining talk with Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan, the game’s newest animated short premiered. “Reunion” centered around McCree and a new rival of his named Ashe (who’s accompanied by a large robot named Bob who wears a tiny hat). It culminates in McCree rescuing a female robotic character named Echo to whom he says, “Welcome back, partner.” It seems as if her, Ashe, and Bob could all be new characters, which Kaplan acknowledged afterward. Sure enough, Ashe was confirmed as Hero 29, with Bob functioning as her Ultimate.
Ashe’s Abilities, Play Style, And History Detailed
Following the BlizzCon 2018 opening ceremony, Blizzard held the Overwatch: What’s Next panel and went into detail about the character, specifically her story, the design ethos behind her creation, and how she plays. From what we’ve seen so far, the leader of the Deadlock gang will mix up the existing rhythms of gameplay in a big way. Here’s all the details you need on Ashe.
Warcraft 3: Reforged
Blizzard has revealed its next remaster project, and it’s the last Warcraft RTS. Warcraft 3: Reforged is a remaster of Reign of Chaos, featuring improved graphics, a revamped UI, 4K support, and more.
Hearthstone Expansion Rastakhan’s Rumble Announced
The next Hearthstone expansion has been revealed as Rastakhan’s Rumble. It includes a new keyword, Overkill, and introduces a wide variety of new cards.
Diablo Immortal
Rather than new content for Diablo III or another port of the game, Blizzard’s news for the franchise involved a totally new game for mobile called Diablo Immortal. It features the same style of gameplay the series is known for, but adapted for mobile.
StarCraft 2 Gets New Co-Op Commander
StarCraft II is adding yet another co-op commander: Zeratul. We don’t know much about him yet, but Blizzard says that “by collecting powerful artifacts, Zeratul unlocks powerful new capabilities and the ability to customize his global top bar abilities.”
