Star Wars: Battlefront II is coming out very soon, as the shooter sequel lands on November 17. Ahead of that, new footage of the bad guy Kylo Ren on the battlefield has emerged–and he looks to be a deadly and formidable combatant.
Included in the newest episode of The Star Wars Show is fresh footage of Kylo Ren doing what he does best with his crossguard lightsaber. It’s only a brief look, with the footage running for just around 13 seconds. But in that time, we get to see his Force powers, melee skills, and how devastating overall he can be. The footage kicks off at around 1:50 in the video below if you want to skip directly to it.
Battlefront II’s multiplayer mode contains content and characters from all three Star Wars eras, so you might see Kylo Ren battling against Chewbacca.
Battlefront II is out on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you’re an EA/Origin Access subscriber, you’ll be able to play early. In other news, EA has backtracked on some of Battlefront II’s microtransactions in the wake of feedback.

The Call of Duty franchise is a behemoth in the video game world, with some of the most significant sales in the business. Its sprawling multiplayer mixed with compelling stories seems like the perfect place to spawn a cinematic universe, just like Marvel or DC. Back in 2015, the Activision Blizzard Studios was created for such a purpose, with plans to not only develop movies but a television series as well.
All of this appears to be a good idea from the business side of things, but actor Josh Duhamel (Transformers), who will be voicing Sergeant Pierson in the upcoming Call of Duty: WW2 game, thinks a movie franchise might not be a necessity.

Disney has set some steep conditions for theaters to abide by if they want to show the latest in the epic sci-fi saga Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
The Wall Street Journal reports (via Gizmodo) that Disney has upped its take in the usual revenue share of ticket sales from the Hollywood standard 55 to 65 percent.
Along with this increase which is reported to be “a new benchmark”, Disney is also demanding theaters reserve the largest auditorium exclusively for The Last Jedi for at least four weeks.

Stranger Things uses its setting to the fullest. It was true in Season 1, and even moreso in Season 2. That’s why there are more ’80s jokes, references, and easter eggs than most fans could hope to spot themselves.

Game 7 of the World Series is taking place tonight, with the Houston Astros facing off against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a winner-take-all matchup that should be great. But who will win and claim the glory? According to MLB The Show 17‘s simulation, the Dodgers will claim their first World Series title since 1988, beating the Astros 6-2 thanks in part to a three-run dinger by Dodgers slugger Yasiel Puig.
The Astros scored first, beginning with a lead-off home run by George Springer. Yuli Gurriel helps extend the lead with a sac fly to make it 2-0 in favor of the Astros. Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager gets his side on the board with a home run of his own to make it 2-2, and later drove in another run to make it 3-2. Puig then crushes a three-run homer to make it 6-2, with Springer striking out to end the game. Check out the simulation video below to see how MLB The Show 17 thinks it will go down.
The actual World Series Game 7 takes place tonight in Los Angeles, starting at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET on Fox. Starting on the hill for the Dodgers is Yu Darvish, while Lance McCullers gets the ball for the Astros in this pivotal game. We’ll update this post later tonight when the game ends to see how accurate the simulation was.
MLB The Show 17 was released in March for the PlayStation 4. GameSpot’s review scored the game an 8/10. Reviewer Richard Wakeling said, “MLB The Show 17 continues the series’ fantastic tradition of consistency and refinement. Improvements to its various game modes give you more ways to play the game how you want to, and the action on the field has never been better, with smarter fielding AI, and enhanced ball physics that bring the hitting to life.”
