The Witcher: We Break Down Three Scenes From the Netflix Series

Three scenes from The Witcher were shown during Sunday’s Netflix panel at Brazil Comic-Con 2019, depicting a conflict between Geralt and Calanthe, as well as scenes featuring Ciri and Yennefer. While the footage won’t be released online, IGN Brazil was there to break down what was shown.

In the scene — a snippet of which was posted to Netflix’s Twitter last week — Geralt (Henry Cavill) is in the royal court of Cintra fighting soldiers. The Witcher is helping a beastly creature with a spiky head. Queen Calanthe (Jodhi May) orders them both executed.

Armed with a sword but without his armor, Geralt keeps beating the soldiers. Calanthe then takes a sword from the ground to fight the Witcher herself. When they cross swords, she asks to stop the fight.

New Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker Footage Will Debut Inside Fortnite Very Soon

New footage from the much-anticipated Star Wars movie The Rise of Skywalker will premiere inside of the battle royale game Fortnite later this month. Epic Games has announced that director JJ Abrams will showcase new footage of the sci-fi blockbuster at the in-game outdoor theatre Risky Reels on December 12. The footage will debut at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET that day.

As for what to expect, Disney is promising an “exclusive scene” from Rise of Skywalker, but there are no further details available at this time. Epic added that Risky Reels opens its doors at 10:30 AM PT / 1:30 PM ET, so players can head in early to get a good seat.

No Caption Provided

This confirmation comes after players discovered posters for the Rise of Skywalker reveal in Fortnite at various locations across the map. The new Rise of Skywalker footage will undoubtedly get posted to YouTube very quickly, so you don’t necessarily need to play Fortnite to check out the new movie content.

This is not the first partnership between Fortnite and Star Wars. In November, a massive Imperial starship appeared in the sky, and a Stormtrooper skin also came to the game.

Abrams is working with Epic Games on a new video game called Spyjinx. Epic has said very little about the project, but the company says it is still in the works.

Abrams also recently signed a $250 million deal to make new video games, TV shows, and movies for Warner Bros.

My Hero Academia Season 4, Episode 8 Review

This review contains full spoilers for My Hero Academia Season 4, Episode 8 (aka episode 71 overall), “Suneater of the Big Three.” To refresh your memory of where we left off, check out our MHA Season 4, episode 7 review.

Episode 7, “GO!!”, was an intense build-up to what My Hero Academia seemed to be promising would be a climactic battle. So it was pretty reasonable to expect Episode 8, “Suneater of the Big Three,” to open exactly where the last episode left off. And it does, kind of, but in true My Hero Academia fashion, the episode is clever about it. Instead of a white flash leading to a crowded brawl, we begin with a shot of Amajiki (the titular Suneater) of the Big Three thinking back on his school days as a lonely new kid, where he sat, awkward and alone, in the classroom, before Mirio offered him a ray of hope and acceptance. Then we get the action shot as the group of heroes charge on the villains’ headquarters. But this is all from Amajiki’s perspective, watching Mirio charge headfirst into battle as Amajiki follows, hoping that he, another member of the Big Three, can shine the way that Mirio does.
